Edge cut by Seahawks..bring him back to Indy?

Post#1 » by Latrell » Wed Nov 4, 2009 1:45 pm

With Brown out for a while I say why not? He's obviously not the same guy as when he left but I think he's still got something left in the tank..It would also be nice to see Edge retire as a Colt, he had his best years here.

I am not against the idea at all, he knows the offense and is respected by the Colts organization. (I didnt know this till recently, but Irsay bought him a championship ring when we won the Super Bowl the season after he left.) We could also get him on the cheap I would imagine. Do you think we would cut Hart and move Sampson to the practice squad? How long have you heard Brown is out?

Brown hasn't practiced this week, but it shouldn't be a long-term deal. The most important components of the Colts offense is Peyton Manning, the line with Jeff Saturday, Reggie Wayne, and Dallas Clark. It would be nice to have Edge back. The one Colts game I ever saw live (RCA Dome) was one of Edge's best games. I'm thinking if he doesn't contribute, he can at least retire with the same team he started with, and maybe he can actually be along for the ride this time when we get that Superbowl victory.

Yeah the main reason for bringing back for me would be sentimental...He was my favorite Colt for a long time and Im still a huge fan of his..Anything he can provide on the football field would be gravy.

We also need more dreadlocks on this team.

Philip Wheeler has enough for the entire team.

I wouldn't mind seeing Edge back in the blue and white at all. They would have to cut Hart though, just so people could break out their #32 James jerseys.

Or Hart can just take Sander's 21 since he's basically retired.

I'd like to see Edge back, but I don't know if he'd be okay with being the third wheel.

I'd like to have him back I hear he's a great teammate! The guy can catch the ball and block we could use him.
