I just want to know, how come the offense can't show up when the game is close.

Cause Glavine glares at the offense every time he pitches.

Plus, there is less pressure now so naturally these guys just go play ball.

Great thing Willie left Glavine in to give up those extra runs.

I just find it funny, close game Franco and Johnson look like bums and Gomez looks like a rook. Game over, Franco and Johnson start to hit and Gomez crushes a ball.

Beltran always strikes out when we need him to do something. Delgado will probably strike out too or hit a weak grounder.

Ahead of the count and he pops it up. Delgado is useless.

We need to trade for Polanco. I don't care what it would take.

seasons not even half over.. delgado carried our offense in the playoffs last year and you guys already forgot about it? with that being said hes left 5 on base today and 4 yesterday, which is incredibly frustrating but not enough to forget about his 38hrs last season and .351 4hrs 11rbi in 10playoff games last season. our team has been hammered with injuries..

pedro
alou
green
sanchez
padilla
chavez
valentin was out a while
el duque was out a while
milledge hurt in minors would be up
beltrans banged up

All that and we are STILL in first. If you told me wed have those woes before the season started, i dont think i would have predicted wed be 3.5 games up. Its not an excuse, its just the facts. Its better we dont have these guys now than when it comes october.

yup

we need to add more youth to this team, wee dont kepe getitng injuries because were unlucky its because were old in so many spots..

last year in the plyaoffs we lost 2 starters because of our geriatirc staff, unfortunately this year i see the same thing, were old in so many spots its impsosible to ever be near full health..

and we really need ot find away to devleop some power ptichers in our system,u see so many phenoms coming up lately, we have peflrey but hes stuff is nwoehre near guys like hamel lincecum, liriano etc

and its more important then ever to devleop those guys in your system because frotnlien ptichers are hardly traded anymore and they get way overpaid in the free agent market..

delgado did some good things last season but delgado also didnt hit for three months last season

the guys dangerous but his level of streakiness keeps getting bigger and bigger to insane levels, the guys getting old..

and yeah id rather injuries now then octboer but because of our age we always have injuries on the team no matter what month..

and i still believe we will win the divison as welli ts just frustrating how we gave away thsoe games to the phillies and instead of knocking them out of the race and the braves while theyre playing badly we have now made it a three team nl east race,i ts frustrating..

get rid of our old players? are you crazy? OF is old for this year. they are both bridges for gomez/lastings and eventually for fernando.

2b valentin is still good.

1b. for this year. we gotta give delgado the benefit of the doubt. next year we'll see.

c. lo duca is a very good hitter still

SP. el duque/glavine have both pitched very good so far this season (outside of glavine's start today).

RP. we do need more young guys. but we drafted a bunch of them this year.

we were never fully healthy this season. we are a world series contendor. and you guys wanna dismantle the team because of a bad stretch of games?!?!

absolutely incredible.

Why waste Smith in a game we have no chance of winning.

Bingo there is no reason to even consider pushing the panic button at all. Braves are struggling just like us, so its not like they are gaining ground. Phils have been playing well but they always seem to collapse when the pressure is on.
