Re: 2011 Miami Dolphins
Build build build. I wouldnt be overly ambitious if I were running operations for the dolphins this year. I would try to get back to that amazing level of defense we used to have. As far as offense goes, priority number 1 should be acquiring a quarterback. Realistically I dont think we bring back both Ricky and Ronnie, so a decision will probably be made there. We can see how our O-line continues to develop (now we got pouncey too so he has to become acclimated).
For all these reasons, I would be happy to see the Phins make the playoffs this year, and anything else will be a great bonus. I think we have a strong building year and we can look to compete in the 12-13 season.

I agree a lot with this. But since Sporano has taken over the Dolphins biggest problem is we play old school football. The two things he does well is ball control and clock management. Yes these are the fundamentals of the game but in today's NFL you have to make big plays on one side of the ball or the other and we are simply consistent. Long story short is we need playmakers and until we have them we will continue to plod through season after season around 500.
I think the positive from the upcoming season will likely be our defense. I see our young DB's really improving, especially davis, and improving on what was a very solid defensive effort last year. Big problem is the offense is awful and it all starts with the gaping hole at QB. Being a Michigan fan as well as a Dolphin fan I do not think much of henne. He is an old school statue QB and I really do not see him improving.
That said I simply hope we put a good effort forth every week but I don't foresee us having a shot at the playoffs. Both the Jets and Pats are going to be much better teams for this year and the foreseeable future barring some major changes in our roster. I look forward to seeing what roster moves we make and what the schedule looks like then maybe we will have hope at a wild-card birth.

Sign the following:
Kevin Boss
Mike Sims-Walker
Eric Weddle
Trade for:
Kyle Orton (because of stats and his previous chemistry with Marshall)
Or
Donovan McNabb (because of his determination to compete/chip on his shoulder)
Sounds like a nasty team to me...

Big strong arm QB. Was going to go to Penn State but went to Delaware instead so he could play. I really like this kid and I wanted us to draft him but i'm glad we got him either way. I think he makes this team actually. If we suck this year he'll probably play at some point.

How are people feeling about the Kyle Orton rumors? I'd like him to come in and compete for (and hopefully, ultimately win) the starting job.

Re: 2011 Miami Dolphins
I want Vince Young, then Kyle Orton. I LOVE THE DEVLIN SIGNING
I want Ronnie back but he wont be so I would like to pair Thomas up with Reggie Bush if he released.
I would take a flyer on Plax just because he will come reasonable and can put up the numbers,
I would take Kevin Boss or Zach Miller.
Now before anyone says anything. Young would be a good QB to still have the wildcat in play when they want to use it. Thomas can run between the tackles while Bush could torch the sides. Plax would be opposite Marsh which would give a top duo then add one of of those TE your offense is stacked.

I'd like Orton mainly because he throws to Marshall. I heard Marion Barber in the mix for RB also. Not sure how I feel about that one.

I like it for us. I'm a big Reggie fan and I still believe he was never fully utilized right in New Orleans (although you can't complain with their team's results).

Re: 2011 Miami Dolphins
Actually really like this Reggie Bush signing. It opens up our offense and gives us a big play threat we have sorely needed for years. As for the rest f this period we really just need to bolster our secondary and maybe add a linebacker.
The only other big name I would like to see us go after is Vince young. I have been a huge supporter of him and I think given the right opportunity he will be a star.

Now we got a RB who can catch and run and someone who can return the ball!

Dont like explosive offenses? This would easily give us the FASTEST starting 11 on offense. Id expect an Orton trade or Young signing by Saturday
