Since Young is off market, the Moore signing makes sense for competition. I'd still expect them to go after Orton now that Chowders 5mil is free... that would allow a QB comp to open up. with either henne or moore getting traded if they dont win back up role if they bring in Orton too.

Another season of Henne is gonna suck but irespect they way they run the organization. Every move is very calculated and if they do not believe Young or Orton is a long term solution then they did the right thing.

Only thing I will say is if protected extremely well and given the right weapons henne can be effective as he was at michigan. He just will never be more the ok. If the D improves which i think it will this will be a very solid team. Only problem is we are in the toughest division in football.

With all this talk about how Henne not the guy I hope our O line is great and he gets a spark in him and becomes good. He can be awesome if he throws to the right team and if the coaches start calling plays for throwing the long ball.

FinHeaven Forums is a festering cesspool of prejudice, misogyny, and willful ignorance. It's an awful place and I regret every visit I pay to that site. It really makes me appreciate RealGM's much, much higher standards.

And provided we absolutely, positively spend a 1st round draft pick on one of next year's premiere QBs, I guess I can stomach one more year of Henne.

Listening to the Sports radio up here in Charlotte, many of the callers are surprised as hell that Moore got even that much $, let alone a 2 year deal.

God, we suck.

I read we could still get Orton. I think we should sign Zach Miller TE from Raiders. We need a better threat at TE. Or Cormartie from the jets if he's out there still.

I don't understand the fascination with Kyle Orton of all players. I think they have finally learned to not waste high draft picks on a QB that won't get in done anyway. I realize our offense was terrible last year but even that wasn't enough to get me thinking Kyle Orton is the answer.

I love what we have done. That doesn't mean we are going to win it all this year, but we've made the right moves to build up a solid squad without destroying the future.

Give Henne another shot with Moore breathing down his neck and if no luck, grab a QB in the 1st next year.

Crowder and Dan Henning are gone? I couldn't be more excited for this year already.

Jason Taylor is back. You think he will have a starting roll or will come off bench? After this if he's with us the whole season he should just retire as a Dolphin.

Nah.... He'll probably sign with New England or Buffalo.

Anyone else feel like Clyde Gates could end up having a huge impact on this team?

I know this will be unpopular but with Dennis Dixon wanting out of Pitt, I would try offering up a a player or a 5 or 6th round pick for Dixon. Dude stepped in for Big Ben and dead a good job. he could be a very very good QB in our system
