Mueller said they didn't have Beck graded out higher than Quinn (contrary to reports of such), they had them very close though. So it seems they think they'd going to get near-identical production from either of them.

Trent Edwards would've been a nice pick also but more of a gamble since he has injuries history. For some reason I see Beck as a solid QB as the worst case witht the potential to become a star. I don't know about you but after year's of Huard, Lucas, Druckenmiller, Fiedler, Feeley, Rosenfels, Frerotte, Culpepper and Harrington; a solid QB sounds good to me.

I was on the can leafing through an old Sporting News, and I noticed that they had a mock draft that was conducted by picking names out of a hat.

Patrick Willis went #1 overall (LOL)

Interesting though, that at the #9 spot they had Miami taking Ginn. :o
