Funny I just posted that in the random thoughts 5 minutes ago and it was an impulse to go look it up when I saw it.

Jacory will struggle against VT, imo, but VT's offense is so bad that he might still be able to struggle through and pull out a road win.

I'm a Bama graduate fwiw, so I really don't have a rooting interest either way though VT winning would help the SOS for Bama I suppose (winning every game is the best plan, screw worrying about the advance fan mathematics on who should win and lose to best serve your team).

Gotta love Jacory Harris. The kid is humble and very smart. I have had a chance to take acouple of classes with him and let me know, his a down to earth guy. Today was another example of his humble personality. Some one in class goes"J.Harris, you won us the game last week" and Jacory responds with "Spence, (Brandon)Harris won us the game)

The "U" is back! Lets hope for a win on saturday!

Jacory Harris has caught my eye too. I'd say - with obvious bias in mind - that Harris, Alabama's McElroy, and Arkansas' Mallet have been the most impressive newcomers (though Harris did get starts in the second half last year). The most impressive thing about Harris is that he is an incredibly athletic QB - though maybe not Vick or Pat White-like - and he's reigned in that and become as pure of a pocket passer in college football as you'll find. He's going to make some plays with his feet this season (whether it's buying time for a deep pass or a long run) that is going to drop some jaws. I see a Heisman in his future...maybe not this year, but he'll be a frontrunner next year with McCoy, Tebow, and others (Best) out of the picture.

^ when was he not pure pocket passing qb? just because your black doesnt mean you want to run every chance you get..

and as great as ithink the U is this year and will be for the next few if they can keep all these NW kids...gotta keep perspective. pre-season rankings are meaningless and both fsu and gt could be unranked when its all said and done...

the acc is miamis to loose though, they control their season, which is what you want in this silly, terrible run, sport of college football

I saw him play at times last season and I thought he was pretty athletic looking and probably could make some plays off zone read looks and maybe an occasional option out of the shotgun. He's not built enough yet to where you'd want to Tebow him into the line, but I figured it would be a weapon to use his ability on bootlegs and some things in the run game that would keep a DE at home.

No race card intended. I thought the same of Colt McCoy his freshman year and they started working the option and zone read game back into their offense by Sophomore and Junior years. If you want a real "race card" in college football it's actually that every white receiver ever is a "good set of hands," "a solid possession receiver," and "he's deceptively quick" [deceptive because he's white lol].

Heh, so I was reading that the Gators took Miami off their schedule. I googled up some more articles and found this:

http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1 ... 07,2448915

Same old story. Same old excuses. Just 22 years later

Henderson to UM? Henderson was the number 1 recruit in the nation last year!
Psst: Seantrel Henderson, the 6-foot-8, 350-pound Cretin-Derham Hall offensive lineman who committed to Southern California before the Trojans were severely penalized by the NCAA, was in Miami on Saturday. The Hurricanes were believed to be Henderson's second choice behind USC, which has been futilely waiting for him to report.

Henderson would have to be released from his tender by USC to be eligible to play elsewhere next season. Evidence exists that USC coach Lane Kiffin assured Henderson there would be no major penalties for football, and that could be used in a waiver request to leave USC
