Noon central kickoff

Storylines:
Cassel starts, how long can he hold the job before Teddy takes the helm?
Will the vikings awful defense improve under Zimmer's new scheme?
How will the vikings offense look now that Norv is running it, less predictable hopefully?

Shaun Hill starts for the rams with bradford out for the year.
Rams have a fantastic defensive line that will be trouble for peterson and pass protection (which looked shaky at times in the preseason)

Yes, will be interesting to see how our Offense looks against the Rams. Defense should be able to produce. Excited to see our new D-line, as well as how the CB's and Safeties look.

This is an important game since the schedule is so tough at the beginning. We looked like a potential playoff team in the preseason, but it would be tough to recover from a 2-4 or 1-5 start.

I know it's weird but I think AP is the real wildcard here. I think it could one of two ways with him. Last year was an alright year by AP's standards, it could of been just a hangover of the 2000 yard season, or it could be the a sign that his time could be up.

But, if the passing game can strech the field, and the offensive line bounces back, AP could have a really good year.

What kind of hurt our offense in a way was the fact that AP would get nothing on like 4 carries, then bust a long run, then get stuffed for 5 more, and so on and so forth.

I'd much rather see AP getting 4-5 yards everytime, without having to rely on the homerun.
