week 6: lions @ vikings - noon

Post#1 » by hermes » Tue Oct 7, 2014 10:39 pm

lions (3-2) @ vikings (2-3)

teddy is practicing again and seems likely to be back in the saddle (poor ponder)
harrison smith is a little banged up though but the lions have their own injury concerns as megatron, bush and bell are all banged up and might not play which could be huge for us

o-line needs to keep detroits d-line out of the backfield though, they really shut down the bills running game - might need teddy to throw to set up the run again like against atlanta. still have hope, if we beat detroit we are right in the thick of things

go vikings!

Megaton being out would be huge.

As long as Teddy plays, this should be in our favor. Lions will be without Bush as well. I don't see any offensive juggernaut on that team.

Winning would be HUGE. Hopefully last week was a blessing in disguise. CP gets the ball more, our defense should be able to stop the run, (they did great on third downs last week) and we can actually pass the ball with Teddy under center. Oh ya, and I'm fairly worried about the o-line versus the Lions front 4. That is worrisome. My prediction: 27 - 20 Vikings.

With Megatron being out, that will make it easier to win.

How many games has the vikings won over the lions in a row at home? Does that string of wins carry over to TCF Bank Field?

I just like the odds better with Calvin not playing.

Ya hopefully our defense can do better than that, yikes. Good to see McKinnon with the start and nice run by him and Bridgewater.

this ziggy fella is good

3rd and longs are bad news, teddy's gotten sacked nearly every time - they just tee off on him

need to get ahead of schedule so we can get some 3rd and shorts

Teddy getting destroyed today. This is a bad game for his confidence cause a game like this could rattle you to hell.
