It's just hard to take much away from these games given how little the starters play, or get mixed in with a bunch of second- and third-stringers. But Cousins made a couple of beautiful throws to Diggs, particularly the longer one where he was basically covered and Kirk laid it in perfectly. Even the line was OK, at least on that first drive, but that's almost certainly going to be an issue year-round. Cousins is better overall, but he's not nearly as elusive in the pocket at Keenum was, which covered up a lot of problems. Just have to hope our defense and strength at the skill positions can make up for it.

signed george iloka to a 1 year, vet's minimum deal (like $800k)

good deal for us, get some safety depth and insurance, and maybe some competition for sendejo going forward. iloka is pretty good and the bengals just moved on to save some money. and he's a former zimmer guy (who isn't that we bring in on defense)

It’s will be interesting how we use him. It sounds like he’s a similar caliber player to Sendejo, so it’s not much of an upgrade but it definitely helps with depth.

I don't think we looked very good last night. Carslon missed 2 field goals, the O-line looked shaky, but if was fun to watch Sloter and Beebe with the comeback at the end.

traded a 7th rounder to get the giants center, brett jones

sounds like he's solid but nothing to write home about, which we could do with i'd say
good move, barely gave up anything for a body we should be able to count on - and some elflein insurance (he might take longer to get back than expected)

robison cut, newman retires (and becomes a coach), and we got a new punter - i thought quigley was good last year, did he have a bad preseason?

Yeah, Quigley was pretty bad this preseason.
