The defensive performance the last 2 weeks has been borderline dominant until the last 5 minutes, then they just fold. They have had problems at the end of halves the whole season. I don’t know if they just go into a prevent or what, but it needs to be fixed if they are going to make the playoffs.

I haven’t always been a Kirk guy, but I think he’s taken a leap. Now we just need for everyone else to figure out how to finish games.

the defense's issues in prevent aren't new, its been a problem in past years. not sure what the issue is but it would be nice if zim could get it fixed

it would be nice to not have nail-biters all the time

I thought the end of game defense was pretty good at the beginning of Zimmer's tenure, but has progressively gotten worse. I think the end of game/half defense is the worst it's ever been this year.

The 2021 Minnesota Vikings in a nutshell:

Read on Twitter

The best part: That was the second time this season we’ve been penalized for that. The other 31 teams combined: zero.

Pretty devastating loss. Could be the beginning of the end of the Zimmer era.

Honestly I’m happy for the loss. Zimmer laying an embarrassing egg on national TV might be enough to finally move this team to finally moving on with a new coach.

It’s been time for awhile to move on from him. Just a very uninspiring team overall to watch.

we were screwed when cooper rush got the start - since he family was at the game. can't get the stars much more aligned than that for some good karma

plus there were a ton of cowboy fans there. i don't even think packer fans come here in those numbers

i don't know what the deal is with the offense. they have been pretty dreadful in several games now, and they have too much skill for it to be like that. is it all the o-line? kirk doesn't seem to be playing too bad (certainly no worse than previous years where the offense has been better). kubiak jr not calling the right stuff?

they spoke highly of darrisaw last night, i keep forgetting to focus on him to see how he's doing. hopefully he pans out. getting a line like the cowboys would be great

There's been a couple games where we've had great first drives, and then it's nothing. I'm not really position to evaluate offensive coordinators, but when we struggle, the nepotism looks really bad.

Throwing sideline to sideline doesn’t win games. Part of the problem is Kirk is a paper QB like Keenum. What I mean is that while their stats look great on paper, the actual passes are often a little to high or a little behind. It’s the difference between getting yards after the catch and the defense making the catch that much more difficult to secure. Having a WR3 like Osborne doesn’t hurt either (you already have the best 1,2 punch in all of the NFl.) Overall, our play calling has been a major issue on both sides of the ball.

I normally only post about Basketball because I never played football and cannot speak as intelligently about it. That said, this teams season ended when Peterson went on IR and the final nail in our coffin was Hunter being out for the year. At this point we need to play rookies and sophomores, start Mond and Kene and tank hard. Start Wyatt Davis as we know Udoh isn’t getting the job done either. With only 3 wins we can still get a lot of talent. In the offseason we should sell Cook, Thielen and Kendrick’s. Let Barr go FA and build around Jefferson and whoever else proves themselves during the next season. We have some good young talent, but Kirk cannot scramble well enough and we need either a solid O line or a QB who can deal with our O line as is. I also agree we need to fire all the nepotism hires as well as Spielman, Zimmer, and basically everyone else on the coaching staff and FO staff. A fresh start with new people and a solid rebuild and in 3-5 years we could see Jefferson take us to the NFC championship and maybe even beyond.

Usually Kirk is pretty on point with his throws unless he's under pressure and I think that's what happened with Cleveland. Against Dallas he missed couple of throws on that 2nd drive that cost us points. The last few games (Detroit, Carolina, Dallas) it feels like as soon as we get the lead we're not nearly aggressive enough. As soon as we have a penalty or a negative play, the drive is basically over.

We are 3 games behind Green Bay, we have poor coaching/play calling built on nepotism rather than talent. We have one of the toughest schedules remaining in the league, and if that’s not bad enough were thin at edge rush, corner, and linebacker (LB in the sense that we lack depth behind Vigil.) This just is not our year.

but odd years are supposed to be our years!

extra playoff team this year, so 7 teams make it - and we're 8th right now
half game behind carolina (who we have the tie breaker over)
tied with the 49ers and falcons

i bet kirk gets hot for a stretch at some point and we somehow sneak/back into the playoffs with a .500ish record (stupid 17 game seasons :noway: ) and we'll probably lose in the first round. but it will be enough to roll it back another year with everyone - which isn't going to be what anyone wants but when do we ever get what we want
