conklin is gone to the jets

harrison smith restructured, saving $6m

rumor is they are trying to trade hunter, he must want too much money than they want to pay. its a tough spot. he's probably still really good but he's missed most of two years in a row with injuries - hard to pay someone big time money after that

did some bonus conversion with hunter to create some more cap room. seems likely they are trying to make something work to keep him

also brought sean mannion back. can't believe there isn't a better backup qb out there but there you go

Hopefully Mond can step up to at least compete with Mannion for #2.

The LSU CB seems to be the guy I've been hearing.

Lewis Cine from Georgia. Not really familiar with him, but he seems big and fast.

so the thoughts (from other fans) seems to be that cine is a good player and that was a good spot to take him, but they don't really like the trade to get there

seems like we hit a lot of needs anyway. thought we would have gone tight end earlier but it probably won't be a big deal if irv is healthy. the new staff might not use tight ends as much

Yeah, not a super exciting draft. Hopefully we at least improved the team.

the offense i think is in fairly good shape. free agency addressed the interior oline so hopefully that is a little better. if they can drag the defense up from terrible to average that is probably a couple games worth of difference which could be a playoff team
