Great job fighting back from a slow start to a tie score at halftime.

Now that the road jitters are past and the feeling out process is complete they just need to pick up on any Celtics adjustments and weather any storms in the third quarter our worst quarter.

I’m getting minorly frustrated at the Pacers players choosing to not use a pivot foot and leaving their feet to throw the ball away to not travel.

HEARTBREAKING ending. Up by 3 with ten seconds left and possession of the ball only to throw it away, watch Brown hit the tying three and then lose in OT.

But a highly encouraging game in every other way! The Pacers very nearly stole game 1 and looked like a serious opponent for the Celtics, an even match. Keep it up!

All we needed to do was get the ball inbounds with 8 seconds. I thought Brown fouled P on that play but they didn't show a close up so maybe that's wishful thinking. We showed we belonged but we had it. Ouch

Maybe this will piss us off enough to pull out the next 4 games.

Pacers won the shooting percentage 54% from the field and 37% from 3. Celtics shot 48% and 33% from 3.

Pacers won the rebounding by 1. Boston had 8 less fouls called on them.

Pacers lost the game because they lost the turnover battle 21-14. Take care of the ball and they would have stolen game 1.

Good start to the series and hopefully they build on this game and steal game 2.

Nightmare loss. Tough to fall asleep tonight. Hated the loss but loved the effort. Loved the fight. Loved the energy.

Myles said it best, they showed their age tonight.

The Pacers blew the a game they had won but i think people forget this is one of the worst "clutch time" teams in the NBA. Clutch time means games 5 points or less in final 5 minutes. That's obviously a stat more about their maturity and age as a team then it is about their skill level.

And it came to haunt them again tonight. It's something they will have to live with and work this summer long after this series is over to overcome it next season and in the future.

He definitely held. Theres no way they would ever call that tho. That's a foul before it's thrown in, meaning free throw shots and ball. No ref in the world is calling that.

Rough ending with the turnovers. I saw a clip of Haliburton just coughing it up off the dribble and out of bounds with 32 seconds to play up 3. He's had some bad 4th quarter TOs in all the games I've watched. Hopefully, these are learning experiences that he uses as fuel to improve. Similar to game 1 against the Knicks, we were in a position to win the first game and didn't get it done. We bounced back from that just fine so I'm confident this isn't deflating for the team. Still, to win four games against Boston we need these types to go our way.

I see Carlisle takes the blame for not calling time out to advance the ball up 3. I agree.

Could've been a lot worse the way the second started.

Turner had been bad on the boards and defending the rim.

As bad as the Pacers played in the 2nd quarter to only be down 6 points is a huge win.

Pacers have to be much better 2nd half defensively. Celtics have had too many easy looks and too many rebounds.

Celtics up by 8 rebounds.
Front lines
Turner, Nesmith, Siakam 7 rebounds
Horford, Brown, Tatum 12 rebounds

Haliburton only 5 shot attempts is maddening. Pascal 8-9 keeping them close.

I know twitter is freaking out about waving the white flag (i also heard carlisle said they didnt but cmon) but that was the right call. The Pacers Knicks killed each other off. The Pacers are burned out. Missing open shots, the pace is much slower these two games and the turnovers very high. Some credit must go to the Celtics defense but this isn't Pacers basketball.

I'm sure its the angle and Turner misjudged the ball and probably fatigue on him but this play looks really bad-

With the exception of a few games here or there, it is what he has always done.

For me, it's player development time.
