I assume that the Pacers signed them to waive them so they can become Mad Ants. I guess we will see if they are invited to training camp.

As of now, I wouldn't expect a full training camp roster for the Pacers, again. My belief is that there are no roster spot battles, so they may not bring anyone extra to camp, and simply go 3 spots short in camp, just because?

Since the Mad Ants are now more local I imagine that their will be more Mad Ant training sessions at the Pacers training facility. I’m guessing that they’re going to have extra bodies in camp combining the future Mad Ants with the Pacers.

From what I’m hearing, they will not. I’m not sure if any extra bodies will be in camp at all.

They're playing at Gainbridge until new building completed in Noblesville.

Noblesville hasn’t even started anything toward that entire project. It’s currently a two lane chip and seal road with houses (that the govt has yet to approach homeowners to buy) and fully tree lined.

They really might be ready to attack this project, but it might be a little delayed, too.

If someone wants to change the topic name it’s now the Indiana Mad Ants. Thanks

Lots of turnover. Not too many old faces anymore.

So King couldn't find an overseas deal. Do we lose him if we don't sign him this season?

No. Would still have his draft rights. He’s not on an nba deal, so he’s never been waived or expired, so essentially nothing has happened in that regard.

Isn't the Larry Bird rule still in effect? Don't picks expire at the next draft unless the player is playing overseas? Or does the Gleague count the same as Europe?

Nope. Larry bird rule hasn’t been a thing for decades. So long as he team extends a tender offer (which doesn’t even have to be guaranteed), they retain their draft rights. So long as the player signs direct with the GLeague, and nit the NBPA team, they’re still counted as draft rights.

KBrown scoring points for the Ants. His defense has always been good.

He got his chance to show out with Tshiebwe, Shepherd, and Walker in Miami tonight.

I don't think Sheppard and Walker have missed a Pacer game so I don't think that was a cause. I hope KBrown can earn our open roster spot.

Hi, I've lurked here for a long time, but first time posting. This is a really good Pacers forum, I enjoy reading everyone's posts. Y'all have a lot of knowledge and the discussions maintain a civil manner. I've been thinking about attending a Mad Ants game at Gainbridge. Has anyone attended one? I'm thinking it could be a fun, cheap (tickets are $10) way of seeing some professional basketball, but then I've also never seen a G-League game. Does anyone have any advice, pro or con? Thanks!

Welcome aboard! I haven’t been to a GLeague game in Gainbridge, but I bet it’s going to be top notch in terms of production value and whatnot. It will be basketball, and mostly fun! If you go on the right game day, you might see some old fun names that you recognize from the last decade. It’ll be basketball, and a fun time, and pretty darned cheap. I’d say go for it! I love live entertainment.

Also, if you find a day game where the Pacers are off (and in town), you might see the players come by to watch the game, too.
