The Pacers look like an expansion team.

Post#1 » by basketballwacko2 » Sun Nov 9, 2014 11:06 pm

That said they look like they can hang in there but they are just not gonna beat many teams with all these guys out hurt. We kinda have to look at this as an extended exhibition season. The team can develop some guys that normally would not get any playing time. Solo Hill and Sloan are looking better than expected, Cope has proved he can play and even drew double coverage in the game against the Wiz.

If and when we get our guys back we should be competitive.

Anyone hear about Roy?

Guys are getting more minutes and ball action then they would have normally, which is a good thing going forward. We have a player in Paul George we can win a title with, and this gives them an opportunity to really look over the roster and see who is worth keeping as we move forward.

Donald Sloan and Solomon Hill have looked best to me.

Cope and Lavoy Allen are right there. AJ Price has looked the best he ever has in his career, too. Heck, even Shayne's couple minutes were effective and showed he belongs as a 15th spot, if not a big higher. And Hibbert is playing pretty much exactly how you hope; defensively inspired, and within himself offensively.

Really, if West and Hill can produce immediately when they return, we may have a bottom of the playoff team here, or at least, one with a lot more valuable veteran trade pieces. Either, or.

I'm proud of the guys that are playing they are giving it their 100% best efforts, you can't ask more than that. Sloan, Solo, Cope, Lavoy, and Hibbert. Proud at 2-6 may sound crazy but these are guys except for Hibbert who have not played much or together.

I said going in that we should win 44 games or so and make the playoffs, we have to get healthy and then see what happens.

What's up with CJ Migraine? I never heard of a guy missing 3-4 games with a migraine!

It happens. Think of Percy Harvin back with the Vikings. He missed a ton of games with migraines that would pop up on game days. Those things are 100% debilitating, too.

i have had a few myself not often and not severe, but I know people and they are wiped out for a day then back to normal. Someone needs to give CJ a bottle of Feverfew to take every day. It's suppose to lessen the severity and reduce the frequency of the migraines. Hopefully they gave him some Maxault or one of the other drugs that's out.

Stress could be the issue for CJ he's looked bad in the games he's played.

My sister-in-law suffers from debilitating migraines, to the extent that there are days that she can't move. Migraines are nasty things and nobody really understands what causes them (afaik) or how to prevent them. Although I can imagine it being stress related somehow.

I have had one some years ago and was really worried it would come back but, touching wood, so far it seems to have been a one off.

Rough.

I had a series of "cluster headaches" over 3-4 days a few years back. That was one of the worst stretch of days ever. Very similar to migraines, but you can feel exactly to a point where it "hurts" in your brain. I almost couldn't breathe. I feel for you migraine sufferers.

My friend who suffers from them is pretty wiped out for about 24 hours. I seem to get one or two a year. I get a visual disturbance called aura which appears to be a sparkling ring of lights around the edges of my vision. I'm lucky though I don't get a sever headache from it, I just feel crappy for a day.

I get the sparkles too. Thought my retina had detached and was pretty freaked out about it. Could barely see anything.

Ugh. I have a family history of detached retinas, so any time I see a spark of light, I freak out just a tad. I'm seeing the specialist next week, and trying not to let paranoia and hypochondria take over.

Dude talk about freaked out, last month I was getting new glasses. A few days before the appointment my left eye was watering and driving me nuts. I'd been having a problem with nats in my house as my "maid" didn't take the trash out after throwing some old fruit in the trash can. The I saw this episode of Animal Planets Monsters Inside me. This guy had a fly maggot living in his eye ball. A fly had lit on his eye and laid an ege which worked its way into his eye. It was eating his retina, and I assume taking a huge dump every day inside his eyeball! I was starting to think one of those nats had gotten in my eye while I was asleep and laid an egg.

So when I went to the Dr I asked him if he'd heard of it and he said it's not that uncommon!! :eek1:

No maggot in my eye and i massacred the effing nats. So now I'm wearing goggles all the time like Richard B. Riddick.

Riddick glasses are useful for welding too.
