Giannis has a possible injury. Bucks and Magic still play twice.

Wow Bucks are pounding the Magic 104-82 with 8:30 to go in the 4th quarter. Unbelievable choking by Magic ?

Cavaliers won as expected over the injury depleted Grizzlies. That moves them back ahead of the Magic if they lose.

The Magic with a loss will be tied record wise with the Pacers for tonight.

I think I understand. If we win one, we pass Orlando unless they also win and if they get to 47 the Heat are out. Orlando as a division winner gets the 5 but we top the Sixers for 6th. Frankly I think I'd rather be 6th than 4th or 5th. 3 takes a Knicks collapse.

I think I saw someone say winner of 4 vs 5 series gets winner of Celtics vs 8 which is most likely Celtics in second round.

Therefore I guess I would like the 6th vs 3 matchup so if we win and get winner of Bucks vs 7. Make sense ?

At the bottom of the home page, it has the playoff matchups, updated daily. =]

Yes,... 4/5 matchup faces the winner of 1/8 (Play in Atlanta / Chicago) - Celtics have already clinched 1,...

3/6 matchup faces the winner of 2/7 (play in - right now Miami / Philly) - Bucks are way ahead to finish at 2,... So yeah, I would much rather be either 6 or 3,.... either of which is possible at the moment. LOL =]

If I take a wild guess today,....

1 BOS 62-17 = 64-17 = 1 - Boston already clinched 1.
8 PLAY-IN TEAM
4 CLE 47-33 = 49-33 = 2 - 3 way tie at 49-33, CLE & MIL tied for the Div, CLE wins on division record (11-5/11-7)
5 ORL 46-34 = 47-35 = 5 - 3 way tie at 47-35, Magic win 3-way as a Division winner
3 NYK 47-32 = 49-33 = 4 - 3 way tie at 49-33, Loses both tie breaks.
6 IND 46-34 = 47-35 = 6 - 3 way tie at 47-35, Indy wins tie break with Philly on head to head 2-1
2 MIL 49-31 = 49-33 = 3 - 3 way tie at 49-33, Mil beats NYK on head to head 3-2
7 PLAY-IN TEAM
PLAY-IN
7 PHI 45-35 = 47-35 = 7 - 3 way tie at 47-35, loses both tie breakers.
8 MIA 44-36 = 46-35 = 8
9 CHI 37-42
10 ATL 36-44

Bracket:

1 BOS
8 Play in
4 NYK
5 ORL

2 CLE
7 Play in
3 MIL
6 IND

7 PHI
8 MIA
9 CHI
10 ATL

If that happens,... and Philly beats Miami,.. then beats CLE,... we win against MIL,... do we actually have the home -court advantage in the second round?.... o0

in the playin 7 plays 8 and the winner is the 7. 9 plays 10 and the loser is out and the winner plays the loser of the 7-8 game with the winner becoming the 8. so the teams that finish 7 and 8 may not still be in those positions after the playin games.

Two huge games tonight was Pacers playing the Cavs and the Magic playing the Sixers. We clinch 6th with a Pacer win or a Sixers loss. But if the Pacers and Sixers both win, a win Sunday should move us all the way up to 4th. That would give us home court advantage in round 1 but an expected Boston series looming in round 2.

Also, the Hawks are now locked into 10th after a Bulls win and so they'll have nothing to play for Sunday

If they beat the Hawks Sunday they make the top 6 I believe guaranteed.

What happens if the Magic lose to the Bucks Sunday while the Pacers, 76ers, and Heat win ?? Who gets what place ?

Pacers 47-35
76ers 47-35
Magic 46-36
Heat 46-36

Pacers 5 Sixers 6 Magic 7 Heat 8. Head to head tiebreakers in each case. If Magic win, they're 5th winning 3 way tie by being division champ.

EDIT there is a mistake here. Miami owns the head to head over Orlando.

This is going to be a wild last day, finish to the season! Lol. :D

If everyone in the ec wins except Milwaukee, they drop to 4th. We stay 6th, get Cavs, then NYK.

Same but Bucks win, they stay in 2nd, we jump to 5th, get Cavs then BOS.

We lose, Philly wins, we drop to 7th.

just,…. Wow. Lol. :o  :D

OK,.... going out on a limb a bit,.... LOL :D

Unfortunately, we play ATL in the same timeslot as MIL / ORL.

If we knew that Mil won that game, they would be locked in at number 2. (ORL would, of course, loose. MIL owns the tie breaker with the NYK.) Philly wins, Miami wins,.. everybody else wins... We lose to ATL. We drop to 7th. (We own the tie breaker with MIA, so they finish 8th. ORL who is also in the tie, owns the top tie breaker and finishes 6th.)

We get a home, play in game against Miami,... (Yeah, nobody wants to play a Jimmy lead Miami team, in a 1 game series, in the playoffs,.. but still.) We win that one (we are 2-1 vs Miami on the year. We split the games in Miami and won vs them in Gainbridge, on April 7th.) We go into the formal playoffs as the 7th seed. Our first round playoff matchup is MIL. :D

We win that one, we would have the winner of NYK and ORL, which is likely to be a very tough series?.... (NYK has been on a hot streak without Rangle,... but ORL owns the season record 3-1.)

We get a home court 'playoff like' game out of it, and a favorable, 1st round matchup?..... o0

I was wrong. Heat own the tie breaker over the Magic and win their division if they finish tied. this isn't good for us as we have the head to head over Miami but lose that advantage if they tie Orlando and become the division winner.

it's worse than that if Miami and Orlando tie as Miami becomes the division winner. we're better off with a Miami loss or a Magic win should we not win ourselves.
