Pacers win to stay in 6th.

Magic lose to Hornets so they’re only 1.5 games ahead of the Pacers in 5th.

Knicks also lose and stay tied in 5th with the Magic 1.5 games ahead of the Pacers.

Heat win over the Rockets and stay .5 game behind us in 7th.

Bucks lost and 2nd place is within reach for Cavs.

Cavaliers and 76ers idle tonight.

If the Pacers could jump up to 4th they would have home court advantage on the 1st round against the 5 seed.

Sunday’s important games list:

Heat at Pacers Pacers by 1.5 5:00pm

Cavaliers at Clippers Clippers by 4.5 3:30pm

Bulls at Magic Magic by 6.5 6:00pm

Knicks at Bucks Bucks by 3.5 7:00pm NBA TV

76ers at Spurs 76ers by 6.5 7:00pm

2nd Bucks 47-30
3rd Cavs 46-32
4th Magic 45-32
5th Knicks 45-32
6th Pacers 44-34
7th Heat 43-34
8th 76ers 43-35

A win or loss by the Clippers or Spurs doesn’t affect them that much so who knows how important tomorrow is.

Knicks at the Bucks is huge because a Bucks loss and a Cavs win tightens the race for 2nd seed.

A Cavaliers loss could drop them down 2 positions coupled with a Magic and Knicks wins.

A Knicks win keeps them fighting for 3rd or 4th seed.

A Knicks loss leaves them at 45 wins and the Pacers with a win go to 45 wins.

A Magic loss leaves them at 45 but I don’t see the Bulls winning at the Magic.

So a Magic win with a Bucks loss puts them on the 2nd place Bucks tail and coupled with a Cavs loss they move up to 3rd seed.

Heat loss coupled with a 76ers win vs the Spurs drops the Heat to 8th and 76ers move up to 7th.

Heat win moves them to 6th and drops the Pacers to a tie with the 76ers if they win. I think Pacers retain 7th though.

Just straight up wild

My Sunday winner guesses are:

Pacers over Heat
Clippers over Cavaliers
Magic over Bulls
Knicks upset Bucks
76ers over Spurs

I'll go with the Pacers being the Heat, Clips over the Cavs, Bucks beat the Knicks and 76ers beat the Spurs.

The Knicks missing OG
and Randle have over achieved getting a lot more out of Achiuwa than I ever thought he'd give them.

**Edit: OG did play April 5th so it looks like he's back, IDK how much that elbow is gonna hinder him.

Pacers need to win out with 4 games to go.

This has really been a weird season it seems like 2 seasons smushed together, there's the before Siakam trade which I was against and the after trade. I'll change my toon on the Siakam trade when he is resigned as I'm on record saying that I think he signs with Philly. BUT from what I'm hearing now he says he likes playing for the Pacers and with Tyrese and Turner. So who knows maybe he signs a 5 yr deal for $40 million plus and becomes the highest paid Pacer ever. If he doesn't sign that 2026 #1 is gonna bite.

I will say that I am glad the team didn't trade for OG and whoever signs him will be taking a risk of paying big bucks for a guy who plays 55-60 games per year.

Unfortunately for me I'm working downtown again tonight and won't be able to watch the game. Duty calls and and the money gets me motivated.

Cavaliers up by 21 at halftime without a rested Mitchell. Clippers without Kwai Leonard. Looks like the Clippers will lose this one.

Cavs well ahead. Bucks play Knicks later and a Knicks win could really put 2nd up for grabs. A Knicks loss though might help us catch them. Do we want to play Cavs or Bucks or Knicks?

Cavs blew a 20 point lead and lost. They now have 33 losses. We have 34 and we play them Friday.

I'm watching Bucks-Knicks and was reminded that Bucks have two games left with Magic.

Magic won tonight moving up because Cavs dropped after loss.

76ers have been behind to the Spurs. Only 8 points currently.

Sixers came from behind to beat Spurs in double overtime. Wins against Raptors and Hawks should do it for sixth and three wins could get fifth although sixth might be safer than fifth.

If,.... big IF,... somehow,. someway,... this season finishes with us playing either the Bucks or Cav's in the first round,... then the other in the second,... we will actually have a chance to the ECF. Still the underdogs, still have to work hard and earn it,... but it would make a great set of matchups. Don't really want to be on the same side of the bracket as Boston...

Records

VS Cavaliers 2-1 with 1 game at Cavs left

VS Knicks 2-1

VS Bucks 4-1

VS Magic 1-2

Of course my choice would be the Bucks. Probably second choice would be the Cavaliers since Mitchell doesn’t seem right. Then the Knicks without Randall however they appear to be leaning to play well without him.

Agreed,... NYK, IMO will become more dangerous as the playoffs move forward. They had a couple of 'hiccups' learning to play without Randle in the last couple,... but, at least for me, Hartenstein has been criminally underrated since he was drafted. He's starting to picked up the post scoring and P&R scoring that the team would miss without Randle. We'll have to see how the last week goes.

Yup,.. I agree,... would prefer to match up with the Bucks, then Cavs, then Knick,... in the other side of the bracket from Boston.

On a side note,... that last game with Cavs will also decide the tie-breaker,... we win,.. we get it 3-1, head-to-head. The Cavs win,.. they get it,.. Division record 11-5 for them,.. 11-6 for us.

I've tweeted Tony for clarification of why the Magic win is in this. I'm guessing it means a four way tie doesn't work for us if they're in it.

The factor I was missing was Division Titles as a tiebreaker.

Pacers win
76ers win
Bucks win
Heat going into overtime at the Hawks.
Knicks leading Bullls in the 4th.
Rockets 97-84 over the Magic in the 4th.

Main goal accomplished winning tonight and retaining 6th place.

So it appears the only ground the Pacers can gain tonight would be if the Magic lose tonight and the Magic lose tomorrow at the Bucks they fall into a tie with the Pacers. If Heat lose tonight we pull away from them more and 76ers are still 1 game behind us.

Cleveland will have to lose to us or the Grizzlies for us to pass them. Knicks and Bucks appear to be safe from falling in the tight standings.
