You mean you don't see a 7 run comeback in the 9th to win?

Yep I wouldn't trade him for anything considering his production, cost etc.

I would trade him for the package of Alex Rodriguez at half his salary, Johan Santana, JJ Putz, and Vlad Guerrero. However, that would leave Ryan Braun in 4 separate pieces, so I doubt anyone goes for that

Yeah there really isnt anything out there that would bring back equal value for Ryan. Maybe Verlander or like a Jared Weaver but I am not so sure I would even consider those guys

Predictions on what the score is going into the bottom of the 9th?

Spurling is pitching so I'm going to say 14-4.

They'll have 3 days off because they never pitched Sunday because of the manager's choice to...oh you know where I'm going with that

On the bright side. At least we know Melvin will make the right moves and isn't afraid to do so. We do know that we need a pure leadoff hitter and pitching in the worst way....

Besides pitching, the biggest needs on this team are better defense and guys who get on base offensively. The team OBP is down to a very poor .330,to many guys treat taking walks like they are herpes and instead they just go up there hacking.

You have no idea how much I wish we didn't sign Suppan. I hope we get another good pitcher this offseason, keep at least one of Linebrink and Cordero and get a LF'er with a couple years left on his contract ala Lee to fill the void until LaPorta is ready.

Bobby Abreu would be a perfect #2 hitter for this team and would be a good fit in LF.

I think Aaron Rowand would be a better fit than Abreu
