Aaron Smith has surgery

Post#1 » by el loco » Wed Oct 27, 2010 4:29 pm

The Steelers will be without defensive end Aaron Smith this week in New Orleans and for the foreseeable future, but there is hope that his season isn’t finished.

Smith underwent surgery on Monday after suffering partially torn triceps in his left arm in the Steelers 23-22 win over the Miami Dolphins, leaving the game in the third quarter.

Ziggy Hood is expected to start in his place while he is out.

Flozell is questionable on the offensive side of the ball, and Woodley and Keisel are questionable on the defensive side of the ball this weekend against the Saints.

This is a bad time to be taking injuries right now. With Smith out, Hood has some shoes to fill. The Saints will be another test for the Steelers to endure. They do have to play better than they did against the Phins b/c they could've easily lost the game. And although the Saints have been reeling these past two weeks. They still can't be underestimated.
