"(Manning and Brady) approach things a little different," said Ryan, who lost the 2009 AFC title game in Pittsburgh as Baltimore's defensive coordinator. "Roethlisberger will beat you up. ... I've never seen a guy take the hits he can take and also make people miss the way he does and be as accurate on the run."

"They're a really good defense," Roethlisberger said. "They try and confuse. That's the big thing they do. ... You don't know where people are lining up and how to identify them.

Jets wideout and former Steeler Santonio Holmes called Polamalu the "greatest player" he has ever seen play in person.

Rex won't have the time to think/fantasize over his wifes feet in this game. He will be to busy trying to figure out a way to keep this

Steelers look good so far. Gotta finish it off. Out of bounds kick by shuisham doesn't help.

You couldn't have scripted a better first half for the Steelers, it has worked out perfect. Now, they just need to shut the Jets down for the final 2 minutes and head to the locker room. I would love to be able to hear Rex Ryan in the Jets locker room during the half

Bruce Arians sure calls some boneheaded plays when the steelers are backed up against their own end zone.

Don't like him as a OC at all. We are doing everything within our power to choke this game off.

We might have caught a break, I am not sure why they didn't go for the 2pt conversion.

I agree Breaker, Arians has been way to conservative with the offense this half.

Arians always tries to pack it in to early imo and I'm usually not pleased with his second half play calling regardless if we are winning. He better keep the pettle to the meatle on superbowl sunday. Still love my steelers no matter what though and now its time to not only further cement our team as the best team in nfl history, but put us on the map as one of the top franchises in sports.

STEELERS IN THE SUPERBOWL BABY !!! I sure am going to be glad though when we get a new OC. Arians is way to predictable. to many seven step drop backs, deep outs and post routes. Not enough hot routes when you know the blitz is coming ( cause of our terrible line). And how many times do we need to spread them out 5 wide on 3rd and 2 . I mean come on at least make it look like we could run the ball. Mendy was in beast mode and we should have road him all night.

We won despite Arians not because of him.

Anyways D was awsome , Mendy was killer. Ben played a good game even though his stats arent great.

Where was Troy at, was he hurting still? I kept waiting for him to make a huge play all night. Oh well.

Whats is the status on Pouncey ? we really need him for the Superbowl. Legursky played decent but we def need Pouncey.

Pouncey is key. Even as a rookie he's probably our best line man.

New update: Pouncey has a broken bone in his left ankle. His status is highly doubtful. (Ticker on NFL network)

^^^I was watching the NFL network yesterday and they pretty much ruled him out, but they didn't give an update on the injury. It's too bad the rookie had a great first season. I wonder if the Steelers will look to draft his brother if he slips to them in the draft?
