Interesting stat after that big pass play to Deebo. He's had 6 rushing carries and 3 catches. I forget how many rushing yards but about 90 passing yards on 3 receptions.

They had no choice but to pass on the last two drives and they got a lot of chunk yards.

Which begs the question, why weren't they calling those pass plays throughout the game but only on the must-score drive?

Kyle designs great pass plays but his play calling and game management are dubious.

Agreed. And they have done this a few times. Shanahan just likes the control game.

This has been a classic Jimmy game. Some really gutsy plays/drives, but also some totally boneheaded stuff. The INTs were both bad, and the fumble was pretty inexplicable (fortunately we apparently got it back). Hopefully he's done enough this season to get someone to trade a second or more for him, though his cap figure is an encumbrance.
