Kyle Williams ruptured his Achilles. That's probably going to do it for his career.

I saw that. I feel bad for him. He's had some bad luck. He choked at the worst time for us, but he is going to always live with it.

Jordan Matthews - WR - Eagles

Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski believes Jordan Matthews is "going to have a big season."

Matthews "destroyed" practice on Monday, racking up "catch after catch after catch" as the "best player on the field." Kempski went on to say the second-year wideout has star potential. A more athletic version of Marques Colston, Matthews is underrated everywhere except in fantasy circles. He's a fine late-third or early-fourth-round pick.

ESPN NFL podcast was saying DGB was looking good too.

Also heard one "expert" predicting a big season for Allen Robinson.

Matavias Bryant had big rookie season then got suspended.

But most of the WRs who've been discussed here the last two years seem to be panning out.

Yet Baalke didn't select any of them.

Fred Jackson out in Buffalo. Kind of sorry to see that. And he just had a nice preseason game. It will be interesting to see if anyone picks him up. A "receiving" back has almost no value in a Roman offense, though.

Hawks traded Kevin Norwood to Carolina rather than cutting him. Schneider has been about as bad at finding WRs as Baalke has. Between 2011 and 2014, he took three fourth-round receivers. None of them made it to their second season with the team.

No big surprises there. Both tore ACLs late in the year.

Jackson meeting with the Hawks. Could this be the end of Christine Michael? I would laugh so hard if so. Hawks fans were absolutely confident that they would suffer almost no drop-off if they lost Marshawn because of how good Michael was going to be.

Red Bryant released by Bills. That guy used to kill us when he played for Hawks....hopefully he's done.

And as "on the fence" as I am about Jed as an owner......I'm so glad we don't have Daniel Snyder.

I agree Snyder has failed to build a winner.

But there can be no question he wants to win, which can't be said about Jed or the Yorks.

Snyder at least is a self-made man, didn't have the team given to him, and he built his own stadium.

Jackson to hawks. LOL, Rumor is Michael is on the trading block. Looks like a 2nd round bust. You are talking about Uhsplt and Harold over at Hoopla. They are such homers. To them, Schneider and Carroll can do no wrong. Uhsplit told me 49er fans overrate Baalke so I just have to LOL at this. Seems Schneider is developing his own list of busts.
