I don't see how anyone expected anything different from the 49ers this year. We all knew Blaine & Kaepernick sucked, and I would have expected 1-5 or 2-4 at this point regardless of who was the coach.

How long has Jed been in charge?

I know he's their son but how long are the Yorks going to endure this?

If we only win 1 game then the team for sure HAS to move to a new coach. Chip has absolutely no business coaching in the NFL

They won't.

Jed isn't going to pay 2 coaches not to coach and a 3rd to coach.

Prior to this season was one of the least attractive jobs in the NFL and firing two head coaches after one year in a row means your pool to choose from for a new head coach is going to be terrible.

The only thing the 9ers can do at this point is fire Baalke and hope Gamble is better at being a GM than he is and bear with Chip another 2 season and if the team hasn't turned around you clean house and cut a huge check and allow the new head coach to select his personnel man.

The Niners are still paying Tomsula if they fire Kelly theyll be paying him for a few more years too. I wasnt a huge Kelly supporter wasn't excited by the hire. BUte lets be honest and objective. Walsh, Lombardi, Landry any of them would have trouble winning with the team Baalke has constructed. They are so devoid of talent at the big positions it is just sad. Baalke and his all acl draft strategy has turned the niners into a joke of a team. He has basically set up any coach to the position of taking a plastic butter knife to a gun fight every Sunday. Add to it that Kelly had trouble getting coordinators who actually wanted to come here so we get Oneil instead of possibly someone better and if you think that has nothing to do with how the Niners leaked info about Harbs and Kaep to show how little they were wanted you are kidding yourself.

One thing that the FO hasn't been criticized enough for is not going after free agents for key positions.

Justin Smith was a big FA for the 49ers but he was signed before Baalke and probably before Jed took over. In fact it may have been Nolan who signed him.

Meanwhile, when the 49ers were the class of the division and the NFC, the Seahawks signed Bennett and Avril the same offseason while Baalke was holding his you know what.

"Draft and develop" team? What a nimrod.

team went up 14-0, then a 3-34 pt run by TB....

so, is that all players or do the coaches share the blame?

I am MEH on Chip whether he goes and stays. He wasn't who I wanted, but as along as the FO remains the same we aren't going to get anything better and the roster isn't going to get fixed with Baalke in charge.

The bitter part of me is asking where is Baalke or York now after another horrendous start and performance up to date?

Harbaugh, with legit excuses, goes through a down spell yet finishes 8-8 gets called out and thrown into a burning pit of hot lava by York n Baalke....

I know York "learned" from his mistakes but again, the bitter me is like, where u at now?

Click on the photo and it expands a bit. Good lord. I'd say 2/3 of the seats are open at least, and it could be a lot more.

Draft and develop is actually the best way to build a football team in the NFL while supplementing with free agency. So Baalke has it right in theory, problem is his drafting is usually no better than mediocre when he connects and horrendous when he misses.

Yeah, its definitely not the most scientific way to evaluate or most unbiased method to collect info to evaluate. Also these types of things are never to be taken too seriously.

However, I would imagine the report went across ole Jeddy's desk. Its just another example of people showing their disapproval of him, like the anti York banners flying over Levi's. Ultimately, it likely means little but I'm all for anything that might help force Jed's hand to fire Baalke...

Here's ESPN's writeup, if anyone is interested:
