Either way, looks like we should get some extensive looks at Womack for a while. Hope he is ready.

Nice win but the injuries are brutal. Fortunately Bosa and Gould's injuries aren't likely to be serious and I'm guessing at most they miss a week. With Gipson playing so well Ward's we can survive and I would guess if he had to he could come back with a club on his hand. Mosely's is brutal though as the secondary has been pretty lights out this season and we don't have a clear guy that can step in. Hopefully Verrett is back to 100% because if he can play at the level he did in 2020 we'll be ok at DB.

Offensively it was solid but the offense just still feels janky to me and I'd like to see it operate more crisply.

Jimmy had his typical game with some nice clutch throws and some throws that were lucky didn't get picked. Honestly though taking any deep shots with him is a wasted play in my opinion. It's pretty clear he can't hit them on a frequent enough basis that would scare defenses enough to account for it.

Also offensively I just think they need to give up on running the ball when it's 2 or less yards to go. Just seems like when in obvious running situations is when the weakness of having smaller athletic linemen come to a head and they can't go toe to toe in terms of power to get the short yardage.

Defensively there isn't much to say except it was another great effort on their part especially missing Armstead, Kinlaw, and partly Bosa.

Special teams were awful and about a worst day of special teams you can have. Two kickoff returns brought to midfield and a blocked FG attempt is just terrible.

Losing Mos will be painful.... our secondary without a doubt has been its best here in SF for the longest and Mos has been a huge player in that for the last few years...

I really hope he can come back, even if its like a 2 month wait.... we need him for real!

My sports teams are currently experiencing suckiness. Please pardon the mess.

That really sucks. I assume Verrett is our best replacement just based on talent but we don't know how healthy he is or how long he can stay healthy. If Verrett isn't ready, does that mean Lenoir moves to the outside and Womack takes his spot at the nickel? Or does Ambry Thomas move into the equation? Womack looked so good in pre-season that I am very curious to see if he can replicate that kind of performance in the regular season. Without a healthy Bosa to rush the passer and force hurried throws, Lenoir can be exposed on the outside.

Sucks especially when it happens when the game was pretty much over

Tough for Moseley, too. He's a free agent after this year.
