I know all teams play terrible D when they go prevent, but it feels even more stark for us. When they’re playing prevent, my grandmother could at least get a couple first downs.

Short of a handful of plays (most from Ambry Thomas) the coverage has been great in this game.

The DL was completely invisible all game.

Great game for Jennings for sure.

But I think Jauan's best game was the must win week 18 game in 2021 against the Rams

I saw Bosa get swallowed up a couple of times by both Eagles tackles.

Several strong starts on the pass rushes but on contact, he got stoned and couldn't pressure Hurts.

Defense overall played well but it's living dangerously with Hurts getting all that much time, even though they bottled up the Eagles running game.

Surprisingly, this game the DBs and LBs stood up in coverage.

But the Eagles were taking their 50-50 shots with Brown and Smith and fortunately only one PI called against the 49ers all game. You hold your breath every time they throw up a long high pass, because Brown and Smith are both good at high-pointing the ball.

If they have a rematch, I would expect them to keep testing those one on one passes downfield.

The OL, after the first quarter, held up pretty well. It looked like Purdy was going to be pressured all game, like Reddick could have a huge game again.

But I think the Eagles LBs and DBs were allowing the WRs to get open and also giving up huge RACs. It's not new, they've allowed a lot of scoring this year, 19th in yards per game and #23 in points allowed.

It's mainly through Hurts and the Eagles playmakers' brilliance that they're 10-2.

They're still a dangerous team to face in the playoffs, especially in Philly and in bad weather. The 49ers and Eagles were tied at #3 for scoring offenses at 28.2 PPG coming into this game.

Eagles are still the last team I want to see in the playoffs.

If they went up 14-0 in the first we could've seen a very different outcome.

But the offensive line bounced back and held up just enough to exploit the Eagles piss poor second level.

Defensively the coverage was way way better than expected as the Eagles offensive line managed our defensive line like I feared but Hurts hardly had anything due to the coverage.
