They have no answer for the blitz.

Protection is poor and the types of routes to beat the blitzes aren’t there.

We knew this was one of the Achilles Heels of this team.

Purdy had been processing well but he seems to be panicking a bit in the face of the pressure. Not even anticipating the blitzes coming. He looks shaken.

The other part is that the DL isn’t as dominant as last year and Jackson is feasting on them. Coverage could be better but there’s too much tIME AND Jackson forces LBs to come off their coverages and that just opens up big openings.

So 1-3 vs the AFC North. At best 49ers have stalemated in the trenches vs. the Browns, Bengals and Ravens. That allows Burrow and Jackson to exploit the secondary and even that backup Browns QB made enough plays.

Watch out for the Lions, not only for HFA but if they face each other in the playoffs. Don’t see the 49ers dominating the trenches against them either and they have a lot of playmakers on offense.

Also the Eagles can match the 49ers OL and DL.

This is where the missed draft picks shows up.

This team doesn't deal with adversity. Kyle's teams have never been super crisp. When they win, it doesn't matter, because they have tons of talent and a great scheme. But when it's tough sledding and they need to execute play in and play out, it regularly falls apart.
