It makes for a good story line in the NFC west that he went to SF, but i think more than a few of us were scared we'd end up with him after drooling over his potential last year.

SF had a very strong draft in their own right. Although their QB sucks for their offense, I think the days of the NFC West being a joke are drawing to a close.

AZ will fall to Earth a bit, SF and Seattle will show positive signs, and the Rams now have some talent. I don't see any of the four teams being great next year, but they're all steadily improving.

Hawks sign 15 undrafted FAs:

James Brindley, safety, Utah State
Marcus Brown, cornerback, Arkansas State
Kyle Burkhart, tackle, Southern Miss
Jeff Byers, center/guard USC
Reggie Carter, linebacker, UCLA
Patrick Devenny, tight end Colorado
Kevin Dixon, linebacker, Troy
DeMarcus Granger, defensive tackle, Oklahoma
Quintin Hancock, wide receiver, Tennessee
Will Harris, safety, USC
Adrian Martinez, center, Colorado State
Joe Pawelek, linebacker, Baylor
Jacob Phillips, tackle, Belhaven (MS)
Josh Pinkard, cornerback, USC
Rob Rose, defensive end, Ohio State

I'm familiar with all the Pac-10 guys. Jeff Byers, Reggie Carter, and Josh Pinkard are intriguing.

DeMarcus Granger is a great talent but has been both hurt/suspended in the past at OU. If he's healthy, and isn't a headcase, he could make the roster in a year or so.

Well, if Leon Washington is worth a fifth rounder (and you get a seventh-rounder back as change), then that makes Jones worth approximately one conditional seventh-round pick in 2014.
