Seahawks-

Inactive for the Seahawks:
QB B.J. Daniels

OT Breno Giacomini

OG Caylin Hauptmann

DT Jordan Hill

DE Benson Mayowa

MLB Bobby Wagner

RB Spencer Ware

Cards

Inactive for the Cardinals:
LB Kenny Demens

WR Brittan Golden

WR D.C. Jefferson

QB Ryan Lindley

LB Dontay Moch

OG Earl Watford

RB Ryan Williams

Danny's .02:

1. Russ vs ballhawking secondary
Honey Badger don't care about G0 HAWKS. nuff said.

2. Pass rush
Clem is going to play hurt (elbow), but without running special pressure packages the seahawk rushers have been inconsistent in getting pressure. Clem, Avril, Bruuuuuce, Bennet, McDonald... that doesn't make sense on paper.

3. 3rd downs & redzone
Both need major improvements or Pete and Russ will keep hearing soph slump... scheme failure. Both of which I disagree with, but i do want to stop seeing that stupid short crossing route as the go to 3rd and 4 play especially with a quality secondary against us.

4. Carp
Fish out of water in the pass game. He needs to keep mauling in the run game, but not play matador in the passing game.

5. Turnovers
that seems to be one of the scariest things for us this year. We've caused them which is great, but we've also scared the puke out of the fans on a few occasions.

Predictions-
Cards 14 Seattle 28

that short crossing route seems to be indefensible when an opponent runs it against a team i root for (college or pro), but the team i root for never seems to get it down.

harvin reportedly to begin practice next week.

Sidney Rice shows up early with a long TD completion of a damn fine salvage job by Russell Wilson a player where every Cardinals' defensive lineman was running right for him. That was the Seahawks best opening drive of the year...did they even get to 3rd down?

yeah that was about as perfect as you could script a drive, with a great school yard adjustment by both RW and rice on that TD.

Holy ****, Chancellor just destroyed an offensive lineman...a safety destroyed an offensive lineman. The Cardinals are really having to work for everything early, and there's been several 3rd and longs. They won't convert all of them.

If that's no pass interference, then there is no pass interference. Just get beat, get your legs tangled, and you are home free.

BTW Rice is getting some separation tonight...maybe Russell's paying more attention to him?

that was a brutal no-call. not sure how they missed that blatant downfield hold, either.

An empty backfield QB sneak on 4th and short? Why? And why so many empty backfield sets on 3rd and short plays?

The Good
Except for the turnover that led to the Cardinals td the Seahawks have dominated the game
The Bad
Despite the domination it is still only a 7pt game

Read option on 3rd and 16? Why so many low percentage plays in these situations?

Malcolm Smith is putting on a SHOW tonight. Gets a sack off a blitz, and he's been absolutely fantastic in pass coverage. He finished with 9 tackles, 2 TFL, a sack, and a pass defended. Not to be outdone KJ Wright was also a tackling machine, and Bruce Irvin was super explosive against the run. Pete might have an interesting dilemma on his hands...without Wagner, who's arguably our most talented LB, the starting LB unit as a whole might be better. Who takes a seat next week when Wagner's back? Maybe rotate the 4 in and out?

Solid win on the road in a place where we don't typically do well. Final score may not show it but that was a dominant win.

Looks like lynch was pissed that they called a pass on 3rd and short and had a message for Bevel.
