Kupp got 3 years 80 million from the "no such thing as cap" Rams. I'm sure DK wants serious bank, i think you have to pay it, but i hate sinking that kind of money

Oh man...they both have their limitations.
Who's a better fit? In Waldron's offense, it's likely Jimmy lol. He's familiar & has played in the Shanahan/McVay offense. So I think the team would prefer him if they had a choice in the matter honestly.
I'm not the biggest fan of Garoppolo. He has the anti-clutch gene. Where as Baker isn't the greatest athlete by any means. But he still plays with an edge that Jimmy totally lacks. He'll also play through an injury.
I like Baker's game more. But fit wise? I think the answer is Jimmy.

he looks like he needs a dietitian in his life, but i'm ok with this. 2 years 1.5 bonus isn't cap damaging. 6 mill per is more than I thought he'd get but easy to erase if he doesn't perform.

For a 5th and 5 million salary I would have actually been into Baker

speaking of the process... yeah Russ is going to be such a huge chunk of the cap. I agree with this guy if we can get away without an established elite QB by paying the D, running, and having a serviceable guy or young rookie star.

Yeah, that's a huge part of it.
You can't win if you're paying your QB top of the line money. If you do pay up then he better be elite. Brady, Mahomes, Allen.
As good as Russ has been, he's not nearly as good as those guys. He can't carry a team by himself. Paying him $50 million/yr is a bad investment. So moving on from him now is completely logical.
The problem is that you're stuck with Geno & Lock and don't have an adequate replacement at the moment.

Glad it was classy and to all the doubters on why Ken Sky-Walker III was drafted...
