Peg or sphere, Westbrook has been a good teammate through and through. He signed off on bringing his former teammate Harden to the Clippers, and when the losing streak kept growing upon the formation of the Fantastic Four, he gave up his starting spot to Mann and they started winning again. Yet, he still doesn't fit, even after voluntarily demoting himself to role player?
We knew there was a fear of broken chemistry if the trade went down, but it feels more like a difference between courageous talent (Westbrook) and gifted talent (Harden), and Clippers have a tendency of preferring the former because of their losing history and ties to the underdog. If Westbrook doesn't fit, why did they still keep him? Are you suggesting he should be a DNP-CD?
I don't think he should sacrifice further for the team anymore. His heart and hustle superstar style befits the bench, and that's good enough for me.
