KG is often thought of as the person who most symbolizes the Timberwolves franchise. Flip's right there with him. I've always liked that guy and rooted for his success wherever he was/went. His family and loved ones will be in my prayers. This is a huge loss to Minnesota basketball and the NBA as a whole.

RIP Flip

Charlotte just announced that they will be running their own D League team. I have been crying for this for years for us. Like Jordan said about their team, we could send down CJ and Dawson, get them playing time in our system, and they can gain valuable experience... or they can sit on the bench and watch. If you have the D League team close enough, say Anaheim or Vegas (yes please) then they are still close enough to the team to pick up tips from the big guys while still getting actual court time.
The Royals are in the World Series tonight, and a big part is their farm system. They grew their players so they could perform once they hit the big leagues. For the Mets, 11 of their 25 players were once a part of the Las Vegas 51s. I really believe that a strong feeder system could help the team for now and the future.

From everything I have heard, we will have one in the near future. It's only a matter of time and I would expect every team to have an affiliate not long after the new TV deal kicks in.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.
