About Jermaine Taylor, he's a 6'4 guard, doesn't look like he's 6'4 from the clips posted. What is the news on his defense? He was a scorer in college, and even in his limited time in the NBA, he looked to score. We don't really need a scorer so much as an outside shooter who defends well, and it doesn't see like that's the kind of player he is based on his previous NBA experience.

Really wish we could get Courtney Lee off Houston.

I can't say that I'm not disappointed. I was tossing and turning on the idea that I wanted us to add JR Smith when we still had Chauncey. When he went down, it became an easy decision for me to want JR on the team.

I think there were a few factors that influenced his decision to go to the Knicks. He is from Jersey, so he'll basically be back home. The Knicks had more money to offer. Linsanity definitely played a huge part in this. They have strung together 7 straight Lins despite having injuries to Melo, Stoudemire and Davis. Now they're back at .500 in the 8th seed with more victories on the way. JR gets the opportunity to play on the biggest stage (MSG) with the most hype and make more money along the way. Had they not gone on a 7-game Linning streak (and stayed in the hole they were in), then perhaps he would have chosen us.

I don't know much about Jermaine Taylor at all except that he was with the Rockets not too long ago. We need a 2/3 that can defend both positions and spread the floor. Our assets include expirings (Foye, Cook), Bledsoe, $3.83M TPE and a $2.75M TPE. March 1st is the day that over 100 players will be eligible to be traded and we will see movement. Players may be bought out or waived as well. I hope Neil has done his homework and is working the phones.

Just wanted to say hi. One of the west coast teams I root for is the clippers and I'd like to see your team win the West. Paul and Griffin are fun to watch and I personally think JR made a mistake. I think he'd be guaranteed starters minutes and he'd have been a nice fit on your roster and he'd have had a shot to really impress going into next year.

In NY, there's a chance he gets squeezed for playing time.

Thanks, appreciate the honesty. But I can't blame JR for taking the money and playing in the bright lights of NY in a D'antoni system made for players like him.

Thanks. I think things are looking great for you right now. There is a renewed vibe from within the team and the fans. Milwaukee is in the rear view and will be without Bogut for most if not the entire season. The Celtics are not the Celtics of old, but just the old Celtics. The obvious goal for the Knicks is to get at least to the 6th spot (imo). If that doesn't happen, who would y'all prefer to play in the first round? Bulls or Heat?

Knicks have to have sold him with more than just playing in New York and more money. I'm assuming he will want at least decent playing time, ~25 MPG or more. I don't know how D'Antoni plans on working that, but we'll see.

He's just trollin' like he has been since this has all began. He even changed his location to NYK? LAL? LAC?

The reporters have said that he is signing with the Knicks. He's a Knick until proven otherwise.

I can't fault JR for signing with the Knicks. I had a feeling that he would sign with them. My guess that coming back to his home area had something to do with it and the Knicks have a great buzz right now because of Lin. I used to live in that New York/New Jersey area so it's really a big thing to come back and play for the Knicks. I don't know how much he will play or how many shots he will get.

As for us we will have to find someone. I didn't really have Jermaine Taylor in mind. I hope we make a smart decision on who we sign.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I set my expectations low and now I can care less!

I still don't think we have to make a move. We have assets but we would have to be careful with whom we're going to trade for. We don't necessarily have to make a move during the season too. Championship aspirations? Yeah, a little, but for it to all work in just one season is.. wait.. it's almost like 2006 again when we last made the playoffs and our decisive move was when we traded for Radmanovic.

mind blown

I don't want to take this thread too off topic, but my brain tells me the heat is the better team to play match up wise, but my heart tells me the Bulls cause they don't feel like they have the same invincibility. In short - I don't really know. They're both very good teams.

I like the Knicks depth, but I don't know if that will be enough.

If he was coming to be a Clipper, he would have signed by now. I think w/ the Knicks are playing solid ball right now; do they really want to welcome Carmelo back & add J.R.? Those 2 may screw up the Knick's Mojo.
