Re: Good Riddance
you are the one that is freaking out of line with your endless Doc apologist crap
Well, I've only been here a week. Is that a rule too, that not blaming Doc is "out of line?"

Alright guys (Neddy, esqtvd & Ranma, etc.)
No name-calling/Personal attacks or harassment. If a poster is getting on your nerves for whatever reason and you don't care to interact with them whatsoever, then simply choose to ignore them. Mods don't have that luxury.
Everybody isn't going to always agree, which is perfectly fine. However, do not let the disagreements become personal or disrespectful.
esqtvd,
1. The rules/policy that you posted are for the General Board. RealGM forum rules can be found here.
2. Don't backseat moderate. If you feel a post is out of line, then report it and be done with it.
If a poster continues to keep goading/baiting/instigating or headhunting, you are only adding to any potential problem, which further takes the thread off-topic and that is not fair to everyone else that may be engaged in actual discussion of the topic. As stated by posters such as QRich and Don Tommy, negativity doesn't only affect those involved, but the entire community as a whole. We must be mindful of that.
If anybody has any questions about this post, then please pm myself, thanumba2clippersfan or og15 directly.

Gallinari Welcomes Pressure
In the interest of full disclosure, I want to disclose that I was never a fan of Danilo Gallinari's. It's not like I hate him,
but my first impression of him during the 2008 NBA Draft was a turn-off. He and his agent were trying to angle for him to be selected by New York because he was interested in fashion and modeling, which gave me a vibe of more pretty boy than competitor. The fact that he likes Los Angeles, isn't a surprise given the circumstances. At least with the Knicks taking him 6th overall, it allowed for the Clips to draft Eric Gordon immediately with the next selection.
However, I do recognize that he is skilled and has good offensive instincts. While I have concerns about his ability to stay healthy and defensive ability, I do like what I've seen in highlight clips of him being capable of not only shooting from distance but also driving to the hoop. While I favored Rudy Gay over him, in part because of my questions about his competitiveness, that was in relation to contract value as I certainly think Gallo is a better investment at the money he's getting than Gay at the same price.
I like what I'm hearing about him embracing pressure, but then again, Doc embraced higher expectations upon his arrival to the Clippers too. I had to roll my eyes when Gallinari said he likes Doc (and his fit with this team), but on paper, he does fit the scheme that Doc employs. Plus, with Doc hopefully just focusing on coaching, we can be more effective with a more well-balanced roster despite losing CP3 even if it means we'll be less successful with regards to regular season standings.
Like Doc before him, I'm willing to give the kid a chance, but he also has to prove something to me just like his new coach.

“There is a lot of pressure, for sure,” Gallinari admitted after his introductory press conference at the Thomas & Mack Center. “First of all, it is L.A., so there is pressure no matter what. But that’s what I like. If you don’t like the pressure you shouldn’t play basketball. I like it, I like the way that we can fit together, I like to play with veteran players. The last years I’ve been playing with a lot of young guys. The fact that I can play with a lot of veterans is very good for me, a big motivation for me.”
...
“I want it because I love it,” Gallinari said. “I loved it my whole career. I’ve always played with a lot of pressure, since I was a little kid. That’s what I need. That’s what I need to perform at a high level and that’s what I need to bring the best out of me.”
He has gone from emerging as a face of basketball for Italian basketball as a teenager to beginning his NBA career in the most unforgiving of markets, New York – the real one – to being the biggest name the Nuggets got in the return package for star Carmelo Anthony to the newest chapter that will play out before a different kind of large windows.

So if Gallo does well, you're in the clear. If he sucks, you always said from the first he wasn't jackspit so you're in the clear there too.
Thanks for sharing, bro. Doc will be happy to read this. Jerry also. That puts them in the clear too.

Add me to those who would welcome it. While it may interfere with West's plan to pursue Klay Thompson in 2019, EJ would be an expiring contract with only 1 season left on his deal at that point. Plus, Doc being the coach makes it unlikely he'll deal his son away, but it's technically possible and would work for all parties involved.

I like the trade but I wish we could of kept Diamond Stone. I believe he will have a solid career once given a shot. I welcome Danilo Gallinari, may you stay healthy. PLEASE! lol

Good riddance Jamal. That's almost as good as getting Danilo.
Jamal probably should have been moved a couple years ago, but whatever.
