That last dunk by Dawson was f***ing filthy. Dude is yolked, can check and can jump like Jason Richardson. I hope he makes the Clips roster.

Dawson was clearly the best player on Clippers team in Clippers 1st game of SL. Hopefully he can improve and make the team.

Question. Someone like Royce White, he's on our summer league team. Does this mean we get first dibs on signing him to our NBA roster if he plays well, or does every other team get a chance as well? I think he's someone who could definitely help, assuming he really has gotten help with the whole anxiety thing.

Inside Track on Summer League Players

Technically, players can sign with any team regardless of which summer league team they play for. However, teams would typically be in a better position to sign players on their own summer league squads simply because they have more access to those players than other teams while they're playing for them. You would also think the players would be more familiar (and presumably more comfortable) with the team they've been playing for.

In any case, White's agent recently stated that they're grateful to the Clippers for the opportunity and accommodations for his issue. Of course, it could just be agent speak to ingratiate his client to a prospective employer. Plus, DAJ previously stated how grateful he was to Doc Rivers and we know how little such gratitude mattered when it came time to re-sign with the Clippers.

Ben Bolch, Los Angeles Times (6/29/15)
“The Clippers said they wanted to understand what the issues are Royce has so they can try to help him,” White’s agent, Brian Brundage, told The Times on Monday. “Hats off to the Clippers for making this guy feel welcome.”
...

“Royce is a loyal guy,” said Brundage, who noted that his client had interest from four other NBA teams. “We could have 29 other teams coming to us after the summer but we’re going to have some major loyalty to the Clippers.”

Brundage said White could play either small forward or shooting guard, versatility that could help the Clippers as they try to restock their roster on the cheap because of salary cap constraints.

“Someone is going to sign Royce White,” Brundage said, “and we’re for darn sure hoping it’s the Clippers.”

I really enjoyed the game earlier today. Wilcox, Dawson, and Wolters really stood out to me. As for Newbill he had another solid game besides his shot not falling. 4 points, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. I think he needs to work on his shot from 20 feet and out.

Wolters and Dawson clear stand outs. (Wilcox was great and if he's not used in Crawford trade should take Jamal's minutes). Interesting thing will be who will be our center?!?!? rest of our roster looks pretty darn solid.
