Yea, players miss shots, it's not even good hating, just lazy hating since it's just something that happens. Even far superior players to him miss bunnies.

If Zu was shooting 44% as a C indicating he's missing a lot of easy ones (eg: Ben Wallace with his terrible hands, missed dunks, no touch, etc who made it up with elite defense), then sure, we could complain about his finishing, but he's a 57% shooter who shoots 60% at the rim (career 69%), so I think he's okay.

It's just us fans being fans with lazy takes, NBD.

Hard fought loss at least though, and actually looked like a competent team, baby steps I guess?

Was it really, or was Denver just playing down to us? With how much of a disaster this team has been, I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

I can't answer that, impossible for me to know, could be, could be both, but since guys like KCP and Gordon were still going hard on defense, maybe not. They were without Murray, and the Clippers are still individually talented regardless of fit issues.

Yea, remember as the roll man, just before this game, Harden was giving him the ball 16-17 feet out while he was moving fast and he'd have to make quick decisions, it was a turnover fest.

Yea, no surprise on those stats, and that's also why last season he was much better and in line with the rest of his career, because there was better chemistry.

It was much better last night though, and it should normalize as the seasons goes if he isn't getting the ball in areas that don't work for his skillset.

The point is, it's not just lazy imagination. Zu is not easy to play with. His limitations are shocking until you learn to work around them. I too hope he will get back to his old self, or rather, that his teammates will get him there.

Still, you is what you is, plus or minus 10%.

So does this mean when we get Theis will he eventually start over Zu? I don't know much about him but he can space the floor right? Could help with the spacing for Russ if Ty Lue stubbornly sticks with starting the big 4. Could be a bigger version of the tiny ball Rockets from 2020.

He certainly gives a different option to the C position, a different skillset since he can shoot a little from outside, but he's also a more mobile and athletic big man than Zubac, can make 1 dribble plays after the catch on the pick and roll, and has some passing skills.

Not trading for Theis is the best news we could get. Sign him for the minimum and see if he can fill the hole left by Plumlee. He has 22 career playoff starts, so he hasn't been just a bench guy.

20-23 highlights - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ia6yr8gFg0s

Having him, Zu and Plumlee all contributing by April will be a huge plus for this team.

Sorry Bones, looks like you will be out a bit longer.

Zu will keep his starting job. I have prepared myself for small ball to finish games though.

Theis/PJ (whoever is playing best)
Leonard
PG
Mann/Russ/Powell (whoever is playing best)

Whitney Grenaway. Hmmmm. It has such a familiar ring to it but I just can't place it...

Harden has been the problem for sure, he's not even in game shape, which actually makes one think that the coaching staff should have started him out in more limited minutes instead of 32 mpg right away.

Was it really, or was Denver just playing down to us? With how much of a disaster this team has been, I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

I can't answer that, impossible for me to know, could be, could be both, but since guys like KCP and Gordon were not going hard on defense, maybe not. They were without Murray, and the Clippers are still individually talented regardless of fit issues.

I mean, it's still a step forward from losing at home to Memphis...

I meant to say still going hard on defense, as opposed to "not going hard on defense".
