Clippers vs. Spurs
vs.
Who: Los Angeles Clippers(10-20) vs. San Antonio Spurs(22-9)
When: Sunday, January 6th
Where: STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA
Time: 12:30 PM PST
TV/Radio: FSNPT/ ESPN 710 AM
Season Series: Spurs lead 1-0
Team Trivia Connection: Sam Cassell and Robert Horry were once teammates from their days in Houston in which they won back to back championships with the Rockets.
The Lowdown
The Clippers started off the year with a 95-81 loss to the Hornets and have since had some days off to rest their wounds. It just won't get any easier for the Clips as they will face off against the 22-9 San Antonio Spurs on today at STAPLES. The last time these two teams met was back on Dec 22nd with the Spurs coming away with the win 99-90 behind Tim Duncan's 34pts in San Antonio. However the Spurs have been in what some might say... a mini rut. With some injuries hitting some of their key players over the past month despite their strong record. The Spurs have been making the best of their situation despite coming off a close loss against the Nuggets on Thursday night. Can the Clips make this game an interesting one and take it to the Spurs? Let's check the keys to the game.
Clippers Manifesto
1. Don't leave the Spurs perimeter shooters wide open. Perimeter D is neccessary.
2. Kaman vs. Duncan: Kaman has to play smart by avoiding bad fouls and be aggressive on both ends.
3. Clippers bench has to step it up.

Let's just try to make this a competitive game. Last time we played the Spurs I think they only beat us by 9. We have been able to stay close to the Spurs, they never really seem to blow us out. Everyone needs to be ready to play, on point, and together. I will enjoy watching a Clippers game for the first time in like 2 weeks.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Time-out on the floor with 7:52 remaining in the half. Clippers are really in sync and lead 35-27. Tim Thomas is really showing no sign of rust, as is Manu for the opposing side. On top of that, Timmy might have stopped Parker from picking up a technical foul on the play right before the time-out.
Josh Powell is impressing me thus far in the game. I think us Clipper fans were too harsh on him. The guy hasn't had much playing time to get comfortable playing with this team or learning how the team plays. His hustle is something I won't mind keeping around next season.
