Bucs make 2 trades at the deadline....

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Wed Oct 29, 2014 4:53 am

They sent Safety Mark Barron to the Rams for a 4th and 6th round pick in 2015, and sent LB Jonathan Casillas and a 2015 6th round pick to the Patriots for a 2015 5th round pick. The Bucs gain a 4th round pick in the draft, they sent their own 2015 4th rd pick with Tim Wright to NE for Mankins. At the moment the Bucs have 1 pick in rounds 1-4, 2 picks in round 5 and 1 in rounds 6 and 7.

The Barron trade is surprising, he was the 7th overall pick in 2012 and you get two middle round picks for him. At least get 1 2nd or 3rd round pick for him. Also I guess they are just giving up on him, he's 25 and in his 3rd year, hasn't even hit his prime yet.

The Bucs will regret the Barron trade.

Don't get it, don't like it.

Barron wasn't playing that great, but who is?

Dumb move.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

NFC South and Bucs blogger Pat Yasinskas, thinks they traded away Barron, because he wasn't a good fit in the Tampa 2, and he only has 3 INTs in 3 seasons(this is currently his 3rd season). And that Licht and Lovie don't think he's the player he was hyped to be coming out of Bama and the draft.
I guess we'll find out in due time. Still tough to give up on a player that is barely 25 yrs old. I think they should have got more from the Rams or any other team than they did for him. You trade a former 7th overall pick(in 2012) for a 4th and 6th round pick. C'mon man! At least get one 2nd or 3rd round pick for him!
