Possible new OC candidates.....

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Wed Dec 17, 2014 9:35 pm

We know that Jeff Tedford is not returing next season. The Bears are likely to fire Marc Trestman per wiretap. Joe Philbin could also be an option if fired by the Dolphins.

Any other candidates you can think of?

If the pick is Mariota, then I think they should go after Scot Frost. He developed Mariota into the fine quarterback he is today. Frost has one of the best offensive in college football, ranked 3rd in the nation. This would go a long way in helping Mariota develop and get acclimated into the NFL.

Even if they went with Jameis Winston I would give him serious consideration. One thing I would like to see next season is some excitement from the offense.

Marc Trestman(fired by the Bears) and Jedd Fisch(fired by the Jags) add these two to the list.

After watching the Rose Bowl, I hope TB goes after Frost. Looking at the QB's in isolation they were both good but the Duck's offensive scheme was really good and made Mariota look very special. If you put Winston or Mariota with the Bucs big receivers in that offense that would be very exciting. I would prefer the Bucs not look at the castoffs of other teams and go after proven winners.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday morning that the Bucs had requested to speak to Titans tight ends coach Mike Mularkey for their offensive coordinator vacancy; however, Tennessee denied Tampa's request, per a source informed of the Titans' situation.

Bucs looking at Dirk Koetter, Greg Roman, Marc Trestman, Marty Mornhinweg, Brad Childress and Rob Chudzinski,

Koetter would be my favorite.

At this point I would just settle for a single OC....considering that the Bucs played all of last year without one.

I like Trestman personally, but I'm not sure he's gonna want to take on the Bucs mess of an offense.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
