I’m taking long, deep sips of the kool aid…

12-5 (although I keep thinking 13-4) and the division.

I'm going with win the division, I like to keep it positive. But I will say that Philly is right on par with us talent wise and they could easily take it.

We will get in as a Wild Card at least for sure, if we miss the playoffs that means that BJJ's favorite player got injured.

Red are our biggest challenges (at least it seems now), so if we split those and lost 4 of them, we finish 13-4. And that is what I'll go with 13-4

13-4 and winning the NFC East sounds about right to me.

We need to remember not to knee-jerk after week 1.

Last season, after week 1, all of us had already decided the season was over and were looking for ways to tank for a higher draft pick lol.

It's just one game, and Dallas could lose it. Although I doubt it. We swept NY last season and Dak has a 10-2 record vs NY.

I agree we have to remember not to knee jerk either way. Even if this is a blowout win it’s only 1 game.

That’s an understatement. We can’t knee jerk with the other teams either. Sam Howell for the Commanders looked good today too.

Starting to look more like a 10 - 7 team unless we implode.

I want to say we can still win the NFCE but we've been hit so hard with injury it's difficult to say. The regression of the offensive coordinator is also super concerning.

I am faithful that unless a miracle happens McCarthy is gone. Dak? Hard to say because he's due a contract. I think Dak can save his job here in Dallas but I'm skeptical that it will happen. I think his future here next season is 50/50.

It would be difficult but not impossible to move on from Dak after the season. He’s not worth $50M+ per season.

You know how sometimes in your life you wish you where wrong about something? This is one of those times but I saw it coming 3 years ago. I've been waiting for 28 damn years to throw the biggest Party I can afford when the Cowboys go to the Super Bowl again. Now I am getting up there in age and am beginning to wonder if I will ever get that opportunity.
You remember what I said after the draft and just before the season started. How much I looked forward to seeing the defense and this could be the best team we've had since 1996. Even when accused by Micah of not being a true Cowboy fan I stated that I loved this team this year except for 3 pieces. Problem is those 3 pieces are the most important are the most important in any championship team.

And just because I was right about Dak, doesn't mean I'm happy about it. Even though I would have a little egg on my face, I'd much prefer another Lombardi trophy and have all you guys rag on my ass the next 5 years.

No QB could have won that game. That said, Dak still played poorly.

I don't want to give him a huge contract, but I also don't want to ditch him and go back into "find franchise QB" mode because those can last decades.

Sucky situation TBH.

Maybe the best option is to sign him and then immediately try to trade him and see if anyone else wants to just go for a change of scenery. Maybe Lamar, or Kyler, or some other team that gave their QB a big pay day and is not winning.

And no you're not "right" about Dak lol

Just like you weren't right about Romo...Both "could" win something in the right situation.

Hell put either in that SF scheme.

That's what we really need...someone who can scheme properly. Take a Purdy and make them look like an MVP.

The NFL has changed. Good QB’s can be found in the middle and late rounds if your scouting is too notch. There is no way in hell I’m reworking Dak’s contract. Take the massive cap hit and move on.

Honestly they might be better off in having someone convince Caleb Williams to return to school for 1 more season and cut Dak. Tank the season and then recruit Lincoln Riley and draft Caleb Williams #1 in 2025.

Could have, would have, SHOULD have. The fact is neither Romo or Dak will win crap.
