Game #8 vs. The Egals.

Post#1 » by bluejerseyjinx » Thu Nov 2, 2023 2:20 pm

For me the key match up will be between the Cowboy's O-line vs. the Egals D-line. Who ever wins that match up will most likely win the game. However this is another big game against a top opponent and Big game #2 of the season and we all know what Dak brings to the table in these moments. Defense will be fine if they show up however the offense will have to pick it up for us to win this game. The defense can't win all the games on their own all the time.

We will do nothing in this game unless we run more than we pass.If Dak can scramble, and run,and throw it away when nothing is open,we stand a chance. We are going to be under a lot of pressure from their D-Line,so RB/WR screens might come in handy.
I,m not so worried about the defense,unless we have a bunch of 3,and outs.Dall 23 Phil 20

I could be wrong but isn’t the Eagles secondary the worst part of their defense? They’re strong up from even without Jordan Davis but are pretty thin in the secondary. Usually I would agree that establishing the run is priority however the Cowboys might be better off in this one passing more.

Then I hope i,m wrong.
I just dont think Dak will have enough time from their DLine pressure to make good reads.Has to be a lot of play action for our passing game to work, which means running as much as or more than passing.Plus the Eagles have been hearing all week how bad they are at pass defense.

I agree and that is the reason why I believe the Cowboy O-line against the Egals defense is the key to the game. Tyron Smith is playing so that should help the cause. If we can run the ball effectively and pass protect, Dumbass Dak should be able to tear apart the Egal secondary. But its a huge game, lights will be shining bright and we know how our $48 mill dollar man gets in these games. Perhaps the defense and special team can play lights out again and make it so easy for Micah's boy otherwise it could be a long afternoon. I mean after 8 years are we really gonna see Prescott actually win a big regular season game and a playoff game beyond the divisional. round before we ship is ass out of here?

Cowboys need to be more patient and stick with the running game more.

The Cowboys just don't have that extra gear that the Eagles and Niners have.

A decent running game, to say the least, really hurts the offense because it's just not enough.

The Cowboys need more production from the running game.

And Terrence Steele has not been very good since returning from injury.

Best case scenario is the Cowboys just reach the 2nd round of the playoffs and hope something good happens.

What the Cowboys have right now is not enough to put them on the same level as the Eagles and Niners.

Iggles lit him up… especially in the latter portion of the 4th quarter. He was not good.

100%

Dak to CeeDee is the entire offense.

Production from other areas is needed. And I won't say the defense was bad tonight, they were "okay". But they were not an "elite" level defense tonight that can win games on their own.

Steele gave up every single sack.

The left side of the line seems legit in pass production. It's the right side that collapses right away.

Cowboys just need to go 8-3.

Next 3 games are very winnable.
