What you trade D Lo and matching salary pieces for Ben Simmons?

Or would you rather run it back with DLo next season

You would need to match with Rui and another piece [Vando or Vincent?].

But Ben Simmons isn't the answer. A consistent creator is what the Lakers need next year, along with a relatively healthy Vando and Vincent.

The Lakers should be big fish hunting, either with LaVine, Beal, Trae or Mitchell.

It's like trading in one broken car for another.

Simmons would be a great defender on Murray or Porter JR. If Lakers can get him for DLo, Gabe, Rui it would be worth it.

Then Trade AR/Vando/ Reddish for Lauri

Simmons, Prince, LeBron, Lauri, AD

Everyone in that Lineup is 6'6 or taller with a good mix of Defense and Offense

This off season gonna be Trae Young OR bust

Donavon Isn't gonna happen D. Murray don't think Atlanta want to trade him, as I've heard they want to keep him, but could be wrong

All In on the Trae train
I compare Nikola Jokic too Hakeem Olajuwon, Hakeem destroys Jokic.

Nets love Bridges. Cam Johnson will be the more realistic one. Simmons is a big negative. They have to give up some capital to get rid of him. Gabe prince Rui/Reaves are some good players under very reasonable contracts.

To my knowledge, both Claxton and Lonnie Walker are free agents this off season

What a depressing offer. We need two-way players on this team.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

No

DLO is a greater shooter if he is on.

Once the coach is gone i bet he improves

Let's try Dlo, Gabe, Prince and Rui/Reaves for....a draft pick? I bet you cant get better than 20-15 for that. If you even get a first rounder. The Lakers tried to move guys in the trade window......nada. Speaking of "nada".....DLo just laid that crucial egg, come crunch time again....so he's got that shiner on his record.

Flip it.....you've got the #12 pick in the draft. You trading that for a scoop in the Lakers "bulk bin"?? Of course you arent. Why would anybody else do it then?

Yeah because all the other great coaches he had (Kerr and Finch) were also the problem

I don't know how high the draft pick can be in the trade. I am only sure on how bad Simmons contract is . A 40M contract on a player who cannot even play half of thee season. Even he was on the court, he can't shoot, hesitate to attack and lost elite defensive ability. Cam Johnson is good. So do Gabe, Prince and Rui/Reaves. Dlo is a positive player at the very least.

That pick is another issue. If you ask me, Simmons will not be my target to trade Dlo away for.

This thread should be combined or renamed to a trade thread ?

If they give us Bridges, I would take on Simmons. But that would require us trading essentially everyone other than LeBron, AD, and then we'd have to choose between Reaves or Vando.

Is LeBron, AD, Reaves, Bridges and Simmons doing anything in the West? The rest of the roster would be all minimum players.

There's a lot of Nets deals I'd love to make however:

- DFS, Schroder, Sharpe for D-Lo (opts in), Rui, 2024 1st
- Bridges and Schroder for D-Lo (opts in), Reaves, JHS, 2 1st rounders, pick swap (then trade Vincent, 1st rounder, remaining swaps and 2nds for Caruso, sign Drummond, bring back Prince) Caruso/Bridges/Rui/LeBron/AD with Schroder, Vando, Drummond, Prince off the bench is nice.
- DFS for Rui and a 2024 1st

If D-Lo opts in it'll only be to a team he wants to be with. I could see Brooklyn being one of those teams. If he's willing to opt in, there's lots of deal that Brooklyn would be able to provide that would improve our team. I'd go after DFS, Schroder, Bridges specifically.

we won't get dfs for Dlo or Rui

we won't get bridges for anything but LeBron or AD, they are high on him

vando and Dlo for Claxton and Schroeder..
.... or Dlo for Schroeder and Lonnie

only trade for Simmons is gabe, Rui, wood, and cam for Simmons and Lonnie

Simmons would be a great option to give LeBron less minutes next season and takeover PG duties.

He would also have LeBron s Trainers and off season health management tricks to get him back on the court.

You get a 6'9 PG vs a 6'1 D Lo to defend the bigger teams
And create offense when LeBron is tired/resting.

AD/Simmons pick n roll would be great
