Yes, we had a shot. Just like any other contender team. We like the Celtics were not interested in paying that much.

That's not true. Whoever offered Posey 4 years at the MLE first would have gotten him. Bartelstein made it known that if a team did step up and give him what he wanted, other teams would not get a chance to match.

that may be, but what if like phil said if the lakers offered the same deal as NO, only before them
posey would be a laker, and it would have been the same with any other team

hornets just got there first

um thats what I said dude. Had we offered a deal like NO we would have landed him. We were not interested in paying him that much. Much like Boston and others...
