I always supported Ron (although think he's the best one to amnesty, especially with the amnesties). I also generally stand up for Steve Blake (at least in terms of his rotation minutes over our other players). Kobe still hasn't re-won me over.

yeah, screw those what have u done for us lately people.

metta world amnesty.
Oh sorry, my sarcasm wasn't well conveyed. The guy that bumped this thread is guilty of textbook "what have u done lately" behavior.

Agreed, although I still disagree with Brown's decision to run him as a 2 at times alongside Ramon. He's actually a decent backup 1 when he isn't playing scared but what he is NOT is a SG, that's more on Mike Brown though although part of me wonders if fans will hurl blame in Steve's direction whenever he fails as a backup 2.

Why do people say this? Do you know how often Blake plays the two spot? It happened in 3 games for 22 total minutes. I went through every line-up we have played on NBA.com. It gets brought up in every Blake vs Goudelock discussion too.

We should never be running a backcourt that consists of those two...EVER. Even in it's limited use it's been enough at times to cost us leads.

I don't like him playing along side Ramon period though, him at the 1 or the 2, it's still a crap line up.

They've only played 22 minutes total together. It's not like it's a regular thing.

Do you have the breakdown of the number of minutes they've spent together in the backcourt?

oh dont be silly dock, i dont care if youre a mod. dont be sad cause i called you out.
when have I started threads/posting boasting about kb's hot streaks earlier this season or for the 3+ years ive been on this board? Just cause i trolled and loled at the ppl creating silly threads when hes on a hot or in a slump? go ahead and search the threads ive made in the past. I mean we have guys here starting threads about kb "greatest coach" in a couple games hes been caught whispering to a few players....i mean cummon now. Ive disabled my sarcasm filter ....so no worries, its not lost over the net. pls continue and carry on.
Blake and session on the floor means blake becomes a spot up shooter and cant even do that right now. hes too scared to drive and score like what sess does well. when was the last time blake even got to the ft line? oh well...just hit one big shot and we're good.

You missed at least one lineup as I found another which you didn't list. Gasol/Sesh/Blake/McBob/Barnes. Two games played, 14 minutes. Not sure if there are any others, I'm checking but I'm getting dizzy looking at all of these lineups.

Thanks for the tool though, I never knew you could do lineup searches on NBA.com.

I'm not sober, probably contributed to it. NBA.com has some really cool advance stat features. Cheers bruddah.

At least Blake is megawhite, it makes it easy to scroll through the lineups pretty quickly as he sticks out like a sore thumb.

yeah I found another earlier. It's still not like that's a major line-up though. sorry for making a fuss.

Well what's disconcerting to me about that tandem is that we only run it for a few minutes a game and yet it would seem that running those two out back together ends up being pretty detrimental in just a short amount of time prompting Brown to call a TO and switch things up. What's really killing us IMO is the fact that we don't have a single good defensive guard. The closest thing we have is Barnes who despite being a bit of a swingman is really more 3 than he is 2 and Artest who can maybe guards some 1s and 2s in a pinch. Ebanks has good length and seems to have the tools necessary to check guards but his PT has been limited.
In short I'd prefer it if Brown stuck to using Blake purely as a backup 1 to Ramon.

Re: Metta World Peace(Stick a fork in him he's done)
Yeah same, but I don't think that is an argument to run Goudelock at 2. Brown just doesn't want another person in the rotation.

When he plays with confidence, Blake is still a better backup 1 than Goudelock IMO as Andrew is definitely a 2 guard. As for the backup 2, it'd be nice if Goudelock or even Ebanks could get minutes there to spell Kobe for a bit, but as long as Matt continues to shoot pretty well from deep I understand Brown's decision to go with him instead as he's taller and a much better defender than mini-Drew. What I don't like however is when Kobe plays mega minutes and is in there with both the starters and the reserves.

I don't get why Glock and Ebanks aren't splitting Kobe's starting minutes when he's out.

Because Brown is a rotation (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

To think I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt throughout the entire season only to be forced to see him make some shall we say "questionable" decisions.
