Pathetic.

Denver FO must be really desperate at this point if those sources are true.

guess the nuggets are trying to get a few more assets or salary dumps out of the knicks. i'm surprised chris broussard aka knicks PR man would let this get out, lol.

There's no way this gets done - agree with dcash. most likely scenario is that Denver is using LA for leverage with NY.

I gotta go with the 2 guys before me this is a leverage play by the Nuggets. But if there is truth to it I can't see them doing it straight up both teams would want more players included and personally I would want Nene also.

For the sake of our title hopes this year, I hope so. The Lakers would be forfeiting overall defense, size, rebounding and inside presence in exchange for more scoring. Attributes pretty crucial in a 7 game format. That's just too much we'd be losing.

We don't need scoring, Mitch. If any area of our team needs improvement, its our PG spot.

We've needed a jolt at point guard spot for a long time now. But, even yet, I wouldn't sacrifice Andrew unless it were Deron Williams we'd be bringing in or someone of that caliber.

Hear that?! That's the sound of Melo's stock suddenly going up...

This is a marketing ploy by his agent, the Nuggets or both... Especially now that it's public.

Using the Lakers as leverage? I'm pretty sure we've all seen players/teams throw the Lakers out there numerous times to get what they want.

Just to have fun with this though. If this were to ever happen defense would be nonexistent here. This team would become an absolute offensive juggernaut.

As usual, I agree with dcash. Denver trying to gain leverage in talks with Knicks. That being said, I may not be opposed to it if it happened :D

melo for bynum, ebanks and a bunch of 2nd rounders

and

chris andersen for TPE

works. that 2nd part gives the nuggets more salary relief, and gives the lakers some sort of serviceable backup upfront.

To be fair, if Bynum is on the table there's nothing the Knicks can do to match it unless they throw Amare in, which they won't do.

FisolaNYDN Sources say that Jim Buss recently rejected a Bynum for Carmelo deal, much to the dismay of Kobe and Phil
9 minutes ago

FisolaNYDN Jim Buss drafted Andrew Bynum and refused to trade him for Jason Kidd. But if Kobe and Phil want Carmelo why not go straight to Jerry Buss?

I'm not really a Bynum fan but I dont like this trade at all from defensive stand point....unless we get Nene back this is bad for us. Pau can't handle playing C the rest the way and if we also lose Odom in this deal we are severly hampered at the big man rotations. I'm sure Den going to try and dump Harrington on us but thats just another "space cadet" in the making.

This won't happen, just a leverage move like mentioned previously. Who would play C for us?

I would do it in a heart beat...Bynum shows flashes of being good. But Carmelo shows flashes of being great. big difference.
