Does Directv have the best deals or what? Checked their site and it seems ok, what ruins it is I need NBAtv so I have to go 2 packages up from the lowest one. Asshats

New customers also get free Sunday Ticket. Signed up with Direct back in July, no complaints. Although things were getting choppy for awhile when I had to stream the first two weeks of Laker games...

TWC isn't going to be getting the dodgers

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-o ... ar-tv-deal

....Nikki Finke of Deadline reports the Dodgers are close to forging a new local-television deal with Fox. Finke tabs the total value of the deal at between $6 billion and $7 billion (yes, that's a "b") over a span of 25 years, which would be the largest local-broadcast contract in American sports history...

Not necessarily a bad thing...watching the lakers lose these past few games has not been pretty.

a little OT but:
The Dodgers have agreed with Time Warner Cable on a new television contract that will provide the team with a channel of its own, according to two people familiar with the deal but not authorized to discuss it.

But bad because it might jeopardize the Angels FSW deal.

FoxSports could force PT and FSW into bankruptcy. We'll see though. I hope not.

they're making their own channel, apart from the Lakers twc sportsnet. And we are going to have to pay for another rsn. It's bs that twc can't put them on sportsnet, considering it's brand new with english and spanish!
It's all probably because the dodgers have this big ego and they don't want to play on the Lakers channel, they don't even get the Lakers ratings.

we'll see. i think worst cause i think they combine prime ticket and FSN. clippers/angels/ucla/usc/kings/ducks is more than enough to carry the network.

yeah, i guess it makes sense that its a separate channel. not sure why i assumed it would be on the lakers network. TWC can't afford to give the dodgers that much money unless they're charging cable providers another punch in the gut.
