Adelman to Shaw to JVG to Brown...it seems as though the longer we wait, the worse our options become.

I am close to those who work for the agent of Mike Brown (also D'antoni, Carlisle, etc - created Vegas Summer League) (read more here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1112419) and just got word that he will take the Lakers job and inform other teams tomorrow.

Looks like Mike Brown will be your new coach.

Just wanna spread the word but I expect to be flamed but check my credibility if you care enough.

Thoughts?

props.

I thought the whole ruining my mood thing was over now that we were out of the playoffs, but boy was I wrong...I'm praying this is false.

Well as long as his assistants do a good job does it matter?

I still think his players overachieved under him. As far as the Kobe gets the ball offense, that's non-sense. The only player under Brown that could create his own shot was LeBron. How else do you run an offense if Mo Williams your only other dangerous threat is not doing his job? It's going to be very different in L.A. In fact I expect posting up the Laker bigs to be the biggest goal.

Faaaaaaantastic. We go from the GOAT coach to Mike Brown. He'd better have the greatest offensive coaching staff in the history of the league. If not, we're in deep trouble.

Everyone needs to calm down and give Mike Brown a chance I understand seeing how his final season with the Cavs ended people are worried but 2 yrs in a row the Cavs had the best record in the league and went to the finals once that wasn't all Lebron the man can coach plus he'll have more talent with the Lakers then he ever had with the Cavs. This reminds me of the first few days after the Lakers were knocked out by the Mavs everyone wanted Pau traded and everyone was acting like he was no good anymore he had one bad playoff after 3 great ones its not like he can't play anymore same goes for Brown a bad ending in Cleveland doesn't mean he can't coach anymore.

I hope he knows that NOBODY wants him here. I'm already annoyed by his voice and face, God help us.

And seriously Laker fans look at the coaches in conference finals 3 of them didn't have jobs just 5 yrs ago and Carlisle was just fired by the Pacers there are no all time coaches left in the playoffs. Phils gone, Docs out, Pop is out, and Sloan is retired. Maybe its better we go for a younger coach the last three coaches the Lakers hired Phil, Rudy, and Del were older and 2 of them were retreads its time for something new.

The weird thing about this story is that no one from LA media has tweeted or wrote anything Ireland, Plashke, Pincus, Markazi where are all these guys on this story.

Brown, 41, became the front-runner because Jim Buss, the team's executive vice president of player personnel, was impressed with his defense-minded style.
