Well said. The Bulls are my team, but when I first started watching NBA basketball in the mid-80s, Dr. Buss' Lakers, with Magic running Showtime, got me into the sport. So many great memories of that time, thanks to the man for putting all together.

Rest in Peace, Doc.

RIP Dr. Buss.

Although I'm not personally a Lakers fan I will always respect that he would always put a solid product on the court, I would have taken him as my owner over Jerry Reinsdorf anyday.

Buss was an icon and a deserving member of the HOF. He built dynasties again and again!! The NBA wouldn't be nearly as amazing without Buss as an owner. The NBA needs more owners like Buss. I am concerned what his death means for the Lakers franchise. Hope he did some decent estate tax planning or otherwise passing the Lakers franchise at a ~$1b valuation is going to cost ~$400m in estate taxes. The kids might even need to sell part or all of the franchise to pay for it.
