There is already rumblings amongst Zach Lowe, etc that they may be inclined to trade him for LMA via S/T or a different big who meshes better with CP3. It wouldn't be that surprising. CP3 is your superstar and you've pretty much hit your ceiling with the team as constructed, do you trade him and try to find another PG (the market is pretty thin of who's really available) or trade BG and find a big who meshes better with CP3? Why would they trade away their defensive anchor in DJ for bench pieces - more importantly what team would give away anything significant for him?
I actually like that trade a lot.
Blake should be paired with a scoring guard (like Lillard) and Paul should be paired with a more traditional PF/C (LMA).
The main thing is Doc shouldn't be running the FO. I don't see how it's possible for a coach to be working the phones during the season, which is where great GMs make those fine-tuning adjustments. As much as the Clippers choked this one, the moves the Rockets made mid-season were huge.
Easy: fit.
I'm not a Clipper fan, so tbh it doesn't matter to me what they do. I was talking about fit, and how CP3 and Blake aren't a perfect match. Blake could be more of an offensive focal point. But he also needs a guy who is able to take over games in the end, and score from the perimeter. Thus, a player like Lillard might be a better match, because it's obvious CP3 is not the closer the Clippers need him to be.
While we've all seen him be clutch as hell, it doesn't seemingly come natural to him. Which is fine. He's a point guard. I'd sa Blake's #2 should be a shooting guard.
Would the Clippers trade Blake? If I were them, I'd consider trading someone, I'd consider trading CP3, but as he's been seen as a top 5 player for so long, IDK if Doc has the guts to do it, so I could see them trading for a guy like LMA to give Paul one last shot at a contending team.
Doubt it happens though.

I love how good Harrison Barnes is for a guy pegged to be a surefire bust when he got drafted.

The Lakers could go back in time and pick MJ and people would call him a bust too... The hate is genuine.

Scott Brooks passing on interviews with Playoff teams... Wants to reconnect with his family in Cali...
Conspiracy theory: B. Scott out, Scott B. in. Byron quits for "family reasons" or something...
More likely scenario... Scott B to the Clips. Doc is given the choice to either GM only or leave. He sucks it up and hires Scott B. (A year later he's gone because everyone finally realizes Doc isn't a GM)

I actually like Byron more than Scotty B and Cliff Paul would lose his **** if the Clippers fired Rivers for Scotty. We should just let Byron's contract run out, Kobe retire and make one big splash in 2016 with Thibs and free agents once Randle/#2 pick develop a year.

When JR goes off randomly, it's a sight to behold. There's really nothing he can't do.

I'm happy to see that bogus Hawks team finally play a real NBA defense in the playoffs for once.

Man just the same old Eastern Playoffs. Won't get any better anytime soon either. All the talent just keeps getting stacked in the West.

Re: Around The NBA VI
Atlanta playoff series are usually incredibly boring. This is like the best it's been since ever.
Funny the Hawks are still rocking the extended organ solo.

The Hawks arena itself looks like someone wedged in a building between the CNN studio and the nearest freeway with homeless bums thrown around all over the place. Such an uninspiring building. The coca cola park is the one saving grace for downtown Atlanta.

Wouldnt be surprised if the Hawks get swept.
