Jordan Hill: Playing for B-Scott v MDA

Post#1 » by Sofa King » Sat Nov 29, 2014 5:02 am

"D'Antoni wanted me to stand down there, just try to clean up and do the dirty work. I was already struggling for minutes with him so I couldn't do nothing but listen to him," Hill said. "Now I've got Byron Scott, who trusts me, and I can play my all-around game."

"He's scoring for us, still rebounding for us. He's playing a lot more minutes than he probably anticipated," Scott said. "He showed me in training camp he could knock down that little 17-foot shot on a consistent basis. I think we also have to mix up getting him back in the post as well.

"He's been very valuable for us, and he's played extremely well, and I think he can play better."

Byron isn't married to a 1 in 4 out offense, so that helps.

It would be more interesting if he talks about defense.

I think Scott is running 0 in 5 out? Boozer and Hill's main function is the long J I thought.

Thanks for the honesty.

Isn't Hill leading the league in offensive rebounds?

Personally, I love J.Hill's game.

Except his all around game is just cleaning up and doing the dirty work along with some long 2s... got to give props to his post defense this year though.

He's been impressive at anticipating the bounce and stretching out long rebounds, too.

Great 7th man for a championship team. He is just in the wrong role. Overpaid (but its a team option). But I like Hills game on the offensive end.
