He had a good stretch when he was being used as a catch and shoot guy, now that he is one of the more creative players left, he's doing too many two dribble pull ups and the result is hot or miss.

Personally I think he deserves better because he's a legitimate bench player who can score the ball, but unfortunately his teammates drag him down to their level most of the time.

He'd be a great rotation player for a playoff team.

i was wondering what was missing, lol nick young only played 9 minutes... i would like to think that byron is testing the team, you know, seeing if there is anyone else who can score? meh. maybe im just making excuses for him.

Depending on who you're referring to when you say "we're trying to lose games", it really shouldn't be too hard to evaluate players while youre tankig. Players don't try to lose games on purpose, and really coaches never do either. Coaches might go with lesser quality players in order to develop them or evaluate them for the future, but whoever is on the court is trying to win.

Tanking is a front office choice executed by stripping the team of talent, tanking isnt really a result of coaches and players intentionally trying to lose.

Well. He's shooting it well, handles look good, even running the offense and bringing up the ball, sharing with Lin.

amen.

and with the way things are, i dont mind byron experimenting at all. if anything, this would be the perfect time to test the team to see what we have. without Lin, Young, and Boozer, (edit: oh and Hill occassionally)... we seem to be really struggling scoring.

Lin struggling with his shot, but at least he is getting to the line now.

One thing he does well is drive to the basket.
He can get to the basket fairly regularly and can draw fouls.

He needs a ton of work on his shot.

that's one habit that JLin really needs to get rid of. God, makes me cringe all the time.

He works on it, it's off and on, but it's just not falling tonight. I like that he attacked the rim. His handles and footwork look very shaky tonight. He's seriously has to tighten up his handles. When he's getting calls, it's smart for him to attack the basket and get his points at the line. But, he didn't shoot that well tonight from the line.

Well, first quarter's hole was too big to climb out of. Harden was on, played a good offensive game but I don't see where his defense is really improved. No Dwight meant the Lakers should attack more and the PGs did so as well as Ellington. Boozer had a strong game, that's good to see. I think Swaggy should have sat, I won't fault Byron on that. Ball movement is better when he doesn't play. I like that the team tried in the 4th and played with some effort. TOs, how many? 20? Yikes.

Clarkson kind of struggled tonight. Hopefully he learns from this.

Did he say that Nick Young looked like he didn't want to be there?
