Beating the Celtics at home is always a joy.

Now back to our regular schedule program...."Tank Wars"

...and Smart continues to make me eat crow, somewhere Shane is grinning slyly while rubbing his Aaron Gordon statue.

Beat the hated ones or have a better draft pick. I go draft pick. Next up, Jazz. We win this one and we loose the pick to 76ers, yes it is that close in the tank wars.

This team's front office talks about asset protection in interviews recently, then lets this team go out and win a meaningless game against an irrelevant franchise. Oh okay.

Not saying this singular game means we won't keep the pick - but possibly in hindsight, weren't we glad we beat that 20-33 trashcan Celtics team in February?

These guys were celebrating after the game like they just won a game 7 - momentum gaining type win.

Let them celebrate. Wins are few and far between. Let them enjoy themselves and then get ready for the next game.

TBF the only team we can afford to fall back is T-Wolves, we aren't bypassing the Knicks - Sixers combo of suckitude so one win against the Cs won't set us back much.

barring more injuries Twolves will have more wins then us by the end of the season. They are a sub .500 team when healthy. Sixers could still pull off some weird random wins, that game tonight against Heat isn't a guaranteed loss either. They have bunch of dleague talents but those dudes want to make a team next year too.

I just hope we (well "them") as a franchise are quite cognizant of what that pick means for the future. We all know how stubborn this front office is when it comes to winning, you just never know. Heck even if they have zero intention of keeping the draft pick in hopes of being able to trade for a player who is ready now, you start winning games and end up 5th, next thing you know you're jumped in the lottery and a division rival has your pick and you have nothing to show for the painful season in which your television ratings just plummeted.

Philly has the rights to our pick now since the Suns traded it so a division rival won't have it. Besides that were on pace to nearly win less than 20 games so if 3 teams can out tank that its completely out of our control. We have 27 games left and we won't lose all of them so unless we go on an awesome winning streak of 2 plus games I wouldn't be stressed about it.
